Scrolling through eBay, sometimes you find a gem of an auction (hope this isn't someone here :D). The description is quite descriptive.

I'll take it over the typical ai generated descriptions!

Oh man, they are so painful to read it actually makes me cringe almost every single time. Why anyone in their right mind would use that option is beyond me, just laziness I guess🤷🤦🏻

Parma 13001.  Rare bit. Its missing the steel rod that goes through the transmission.

I think you should tell him. Imagine what the price could climb to!

But...but....but...that's not possible. You can't have one as well. He guarantees right in the auction that no one has these because he cannot find them anywhere. He can't! Anywhere! (well except for that Ricky Jr. fellow). Wait! Are you Ricky Jr, @Frog Jumper? Its nearly inconceivable there could be three of these in existence.

Just remember folks he can't take any less. No lowballers, No tire kickers. I know what I have, blah blah blah.

Is the steel rod another $250?

Ricky Jr was the son of the local hobby shop owner.  I think I'm about to solve the decades long mystery of where he got them...

I have the Parma kit NIP. I’m not Ricky Jr., either. It’s a pretty neat little thing, someone should reproduce it. They’d sell dozens.

The steel rod doesn’t work with the rere swing arms - the swing arms inserts (where they go into the tranny) are now closed.  I suppose you could modify the inserts…

Ok, I'll represent the newbies here....could someone explain what is actually being sold? the smaller photos down the side look to be different parts and I cant see any clues in the text.

Its the blue circle inside the silver swing arm holder.  Its a Parma #13001.

These were a set of blue aluminum bushings that went on the ends of the Frog swing arms.  These bushings also secured a steel rod (that went through the transmission) and center support piece (that inserted inside the transmission).  This took away a lot of slop.

I'll dig mine out and take some pix later tonight.

For $250?! Crikey. I would have thought that someone on here could knock something similar up for cheaper than that in their workshop.

What a rip off. Clearly they're only worth $12 :)

And yeah, this thread has me thinking I need to add a Frog to the collection. As cheap as they are, wouldn't have to sell many of these at "two beers price" to make the kit itself 'free'. Just what I needed, one more thing 'on the list'.

parts.  One complete set and one partial (missing insert).

Assembled outside the trans.

the insert goes in the transmission, the rod through tge swing arms, and the bushings on the ends.  The extra length requited the use of brass spacers to fit correctly.

What you have in front of you is $750.

It is a pretty cool set though.

Here's some insanity for everyone, take a $50 WPL, give it a terrible paint job, suddenly it's worth $250+...oh, almost forgot about the useless description too.

BTW, the 4wd setup on these is anything but dependable, reliable, or well-crafted.
