Hi guys, any advice for a born again RC fan in Crewe area? Into off roading and bashing more than racing. Any clubs, or tracks in the area.

There is a cool BMX track in Crewe, but as you might expect it's full of BMX's... quite frankly I dont want to see my KBF going under the front wheel of a kids bike.

I know Delamere well, used to travel that way when I lived in Kendal. I would be up for a day out from Birmingham.[8D]

So when do we go! I am tied up for the next two weekends. First available for me is 3rd/4th April. I will get the motors changed on my Wild Dagger. Got two Mtronik 17x2 motors. Should have Hummer and Monster Beetle running for then as well. Willy 2 needs finishing and paintin so maybe not running.[]

Will hopefully be in Shropshire the week after Easter visiting my folks so won't be far away - a bit north of Nantwich according to the AA. Should still be there for w/e of 17th/18th April if anything was going on then.

im getting wed on the 17th[]then im off to the states on honeymoon to take a look at 3 crates of vintage tamiya spares and cars thats been sitting in the back of a fella's garage for years!!![][][][] so i cant make that DATE!!!!

OK, have chatted with various people and general consensus is 17th is OK, apart from Quincey of course, but you have got more important things to worry about then[]

So who is up for a meeting in the Delamere Forest[?] Exact location to be announced closer to time. The forest is south of Chester and north of Tarporley in Cheshire.

17th is the most likely for me, but won't know until the last minute (sorry [:I]). Will bring two or three 2wd off-roaders - my XC isn't running yet - and possibly one or both of my offspring (useful for rescuing overturned cars [] )

if you chaps are going,one of the best places to go and park is barnbridge gates in delamere as it has a toilet and most times a burger bar[] and the surronding area is pretty good for xc but watch the time you are there as they shut the car park at 5pm at the moment. thats where i always go as your car is quite safe but dont leave anything on show coz even in the sticks the villans are about!![!][!][!]!

barnbridge gates is on the kelsall,ashton,mouldsworth,manley road through the forest its on the left half way through.

if any of you chaps happen to drive through a small village called "ashton"on the way to delamere, beware of the police with speed guns just by the church as they get loads of people every weekend there[!][!][!]

been up to delamere today,a good place to run your cars is as descibed,enter barn bridge gates car park-park on right hand side-on right hand side the 1st set of steps as you go in car park going up the bank-go up steps as you come out on the top go straight ahead you will see a giant bowl to run some great xc in as i did today,and its not to far away from the car park,food was on the road as you exit car park turn left go down the road half a mile on right!.

Will be bringing Blitzer Beetle, Mad Bull and Blackfoot - not sure about the Mu yet. Could probably make 10am - it's about an hour from Telford. Thanks for the map ref. Clive []

Could bring my half built lunchbox, super wheelie should i get it painted in time, my grasshopper and possibly my astute.. Only got one battery mind you and my radio gear's falling to pieces but what the badword []
