anyone live near surrey/ guildford

im feeling like a bit of a loner here! no-one seems to live near guildford, and its annoying that i cant share my liking with r/c with anyone else around here. if any of you do live near guildford, we could arrange to meet, even if it is only a few of us,

Well i live 5 mins from the M25 - so Guilford is do-able, always up for a meet, know what you mean about feeling a loner []

Anyone living in the Guildford ish area that has an interest in the on road cars should have a look at the Aldershot Club. amcc.org.uk

Gives you nearly 7days a week access to a superb tarmac track for nitro and electric cars.

They run F1 races at their club meets every 2nd Sunday, most of the field is F201s. If enough people turn up with any particular type of car they will run heats for them or fit you into an existing class.

I work in Guildford, so could do meets easily. However in process of moving house and all cars are boxed up at the mo! Send me an email if you are arranging anything.

We meet twice a month, once for a bash day, and the other for racing(in the loosest sense of the term). It's mainly nitro, but we have just built a crawling area, and there is an electric class on race day too.

Even if you just want to watch come along and you should have a great day.

Hey I'll second the Aldershot track. Been a member since the new year and its a great club to get involved in. A friendly bunch with loads of tips and advice and being open 7 days a week for practicing is a real advantage ( Wife dosen't think so though!!).....[]

Hi there, I live in wonersh 4 miles south of guildford and work in godalming.

Im only just back into the rc cars, I mainly like building and restoring old cars from the eighties in particular avante and vanquish. I have about 15 cars in different stages of completion but would be interested to meet with anyone that i could swap parts and tips with.

at the moment, i only have one offroad electric-my bush devil, seeing as the only money i get is pocket money! so i was thinking more of an offroad place. I will be out and about with my dad looking for places, so ill keep you all in touch!!

ok dokay lads, my dad said it is fine to go and meet somewhere. I think neo is going to kindly lend us the common that he uses for his cars.(please!!!) The question is, when? I cant make this saturday (12th June), but i can just about do sunday (13th). All of next weekend i can make, i was wondering which of these days are free for you lot? Also, which of you can come, and neo, if we can go to the common, we are going to need direction(we're not physic!!)

Unfortunately I can't do this weekend, as my cars are at my folks place [](and I have to paint my new house.) I'm on holiday from next week, but evenings are a possibility, so keep posting here and I'll be able to turn up eventually[]

im going on holiday not next week but the week after that on a wednesday, for one week.

so timing does look a little tricky!![?]
