Essex meet - any ideas for locations?

I want to arrange an Essex based meet sometime in the next month or so. Probably a Sunday or Saturday, probably in mid June. Does anyone from the area know of a good place to go? I can think of a few in Southend area, but I was thinking of somewhere nearer the M25 to make it more convienient for anyone from Kent/Herts/London areas to get to.

Hi Jozza,

I'd be up for this - I can get to the Junction of the M11 / M25 in about 45mins from my place.

I've never been there, but what about Lea Valley Park? I think its around Jct 26 on the M25. If there is any chance of some water I'll bring the hovercraft too []. Only weekend that is not poss for me is the W/E of 5th/6th June at the mo....

Who knows I may even have got round to painting the Hummer by then [:I]

Okay, I've got a couple of potential venues, I'm off work next week so am going to go on a recon to see what they are like/if suitable. All within a few miles of the M25, which should make it easy for people from Essex/Kent/Herts etc to come along []

Elbow deep in some major mods to my RC Hovercraft at the mo so not touched the Tamiyas for a couple of weeks []. First up to the plate for build attention is my Lancer Evo VI though when time permits.....

I'm talking to a guy who runs an offroad track in Essex at the moment - no promises though, but he seems to be open to the idea of letting it out for a day. Otherwise I will be out and about this weekend to find something suitable...

I live in Walthamstow which is near essex and I would definately love tot meet up wth fellow mambers for a meet. Ill try and look around here for some venues aswell...Epping forest is large so there might be something

I went to Weald Park in Brentwood today, looks good but the grass is a bit on the long side. Epping Forest, now there's an idea - there are a lot of places around there which could be good for offroaders.

Still haven't heard any more from the owners of the offroad track; I'll try and get in touch with them over the next few days. The offroad track is free on the w/e of June 19th, so shall we say that the date for a meet is Sunday 20th June, and location to be confirmed?

I might have to move it to the week after anyway, need to check my busy calendar. If we keep to the 20th, and it's good, maybe we can make it a fairly regular thing throughout the summer every few weeks.
