hi all

My gran lives in utterby, and is close to louth, grimsby etc. Where abouts is this BMX track, as when I next go to visit her, ill probly go down to the farm (dads uncle's) and play about in the fields with my 8.4v Detonator [8D] **thats if i can find any rear body mounts, blasted things!! [:(!])

Incidentally, anybody now that hobbbins models in lincoln didnt close as i thought, it moved to above blockbuster on the high street and got new owners. Probably go this weekend so will update on tamiya stuff availability.

Do you guys use Castaline in louth for your RC stuff? excellent location afaic, near to the mister chips restaurant, excellent!

Yeah Hobbins moved above Blockbusters about a year ago, are you sure about the new owners?? Last time I went (a month ago) it was still Andy and his scary missus!!

hi,

my uncle (lives off carholme road lincoln) brought me a clipping, it was from the echo (free paper) and it said they had handed over quite recently, it may have been in the last week or so, but there are definately a new family, husband and wife running the shop now.

Me and Volksrod did Hobbins a few months back, sorry lads but theres no vintage stuff left [:(]. Nice big shop though plenty of new stuff.

Oh so new owners ah well!!

Hobins got rid of all the old stuff he had when they move from Portland St to the new place, I know that for certain as Andy told me when I asked him he said it all went on eBay as 'there's people around who'll pay good money for old tamiya stuff!!'

The other shop B&H had a load of old stuff but I was beaten to it by none other than Howard Wooster!!

P.s Jimbo the Echo isn't free it costs 35p a day!!

oh, i think he gets the echo from an old friend from across the street, so its free to him! I remeber going to the old Hobbins (portland street) and seeing quite a few escorts and a bear hawk, but at the time, i didnt know about this vintage business! Went to B&H weekend before last, quite a small shop, good range though!
