Ok thought we should start actually thinking about events for the weekend - so here is my first stab at a running order. It should be easier than previously with few classes (all being off road) so if possible we might have the same running order on both days.

Please either indicate wether you want to enter any of these (or think I've missed some classes out - On the day we will still have the flexibility to add more or combine classes based on the number that turn up.

Saturday Morning - meet and greet plus lots of bargain hunting. Racing starts at 11am. Up tp 11am the track is open and anyone can use it to race anything electric AS LONG AS YOU STILL USE THE PEG BOARD

largely based on release dates:

SRB

Holiday Buggy/Sand Rovers

Vintage 2WD buggies(Frog/Grasshopper/Hornet etc)

Vintage 1/12 scale (959/Grb)

2wd monsters Blackfoot/Beetle etc

Lunchbox/Pumpkins

Modern 2 motor trucks (wild dagger etc)

Modern 2wd, stadium races etc

Wild Willys 1 & 2

Vintage 4wd (All the Shots/Boomerang/Bigwig etc) - probably need to split this

Monster circuit racing Clods/Juggs/TXT

Newer 4wd

3 speeds

XC challenge of some sort

4wd Rally Cross

Modern Small scale

Misc.

These races may require several 'heats' based on numbers.

Throughout the weekend we will also be running a series Monster Crushing Races. 1 v 1 straight line over a bunch of othe models (all ready sorted by muddy so don't panic) round a cone and back again.

Then we do it all again on Sunday[:)]

Frequencies are allocated on a first come first served basis for each race. Come find me and I will have the racesheets for you to book yourself onto.

AS SOON AS YOUR RACE IS OVER RETURN YOUR PEG TO THE BOARDid="red">

Any thoughts?

A couple of questions:

What about something for the XC's? I'll be bringing 2 (how's the Pajero body going MBB?) and it would be a shame not to run them.

Does the Blitzer fall into the '2wd monsters' category?

Looks Good Chris - I guess the Gravel Hound is eligible for Modern 4WD...?

See you Friday.

PS : Don't want to rain on the parade (literally) but it's set to be manky weather this weekend. Let's hope the forecast's wrong...!!!

I would spilt this to 2wd Monsters i.e Blackfoots etc and then have a Stadium truck race with cars like the Blitzers and Dyna Blasters[:)]

Looking at the list of who's taking what (which I havnt done yet[:I]) here are aleast 4 people with stadium trucks plus me and Jez and I have told Moosey to bring his Dyna Blaster cause I've got a score to settle[;)]

[EDIT]

I also can't see a race for newer 2WD buggies or am I blind[?]

Yep, a separate Mini-T heat sounds good to me, those little beasties can't be put against those big cars [:P]. Chris, can you add newer 2WD to the list to cover Mad Bulls, or would they be allowed with the vintage 2WD? I can't remember if the Twin Detonators had a separate class at Snet, or did they fit into one of the classes you've listed? Thanks [:D]

This is all well and good :) obviously there is some fine tuning requied, and Racing Tamiya only classes is to be expected, but what about those of us that bring non-tamiya cars? I mean hows about races for Vintage and Present day Competition 2WD and 4WD's?

as for anything else? will you just be able to slot them into the other race classes depending on their type and vintage status?

For instance? I'm going to bring My Hirobo Alien to run? that could go in the Modern 4WD class? (I have my Avante and Top Force as well?) and what about my Kyosho RV Nissan Pathfinder in an XC race? cos its sorta the same thing? ;)

anyway I'm going both days and bringing different cars on each and I'm sure things will be all sorted out on the Day/'s :)

BTW Jimbo ;) is a King Cab classed as a Stadium truck? I could also perhaps use my signature vehical The Tamdai Wild Wolf ;) in this class as well?

All sounds good Chris.

I reckon, as others have suggested, maybe seperate classes for 2WD Stadium racers (Blitzers etc). Possibly also a Wild Dagger/Twin Detonator race (it gets embarassing lapping Monster Beetles[:I][:D])

The obstacles for Monster trucking are ready to go(they're pretty good for crawling XC's over too[;)])

Can't wait, see ya there[:P]

I've amended the list - according to above suggestions and emails.

Like I said we can adjust it on the day, but need some sort of order to run too. As you can see there are already a lot of classes so we are going to have to turn them around quite quick, and we'll have some 'catch all' races later in the day in case anyone misses out.

Any none Tamiyas can be ran in the closest matching groups above.

If you could start listing here what events you will be running in that will help out a lot in terms of the grouping and order.

cheers

OK ALL

I've amended the the running order and I'm printing out the sign-on sheets tonight. Find me and get your names down as soon as you arrive and get your frequency booked.

We'll try and be felxible but with possibly 40 people there the more we can stick to it the better.

Most of the races will be fairly 'flexible' as long as the cars are roughly comparible and all the drivers agree.

The race order starts at 11am so up to 11am the track is open and anyone can use it to race anything electric AS LONG AS YOU STILL USE THE PEG BOARD. If you want to organise your own classes for models not covered in my list then free free to do so.

Official events will start at 11am prompt and then run about every 20 - 30 mins after that. We've got a lot to get through.

Cheers

I'm printing off a load of running orders with these above races listed at 30 mins intervals which takes us up to 7pm! (and thats with no lunch break)

Come see me if you want one. (I'm the guy with no hair, a not so small daughter and a red renault scenic packed with stuff)

Most races will only last about 5-15mins so if we stick to it and start promptly then the track will be free between each race. So if you get a spare peg you can jump on and run what you like. These ad-hoc races though will be required to stop when the 'official' ones are due to start.id="red">

Some of the gaps will be filled with the Monster Truck Battle competition. Two trucks running at a time, straight line over a piles of obstacles round a cone and back. The whole thing based on a knockout system like wimbledon. Let me know ASAP if you want to take part in this as I'll need to draw up some sort of chart.

Timing for these events will be made up as we go along.

For Monster truck comp i'll give ya hand with draw/running list Chris.

I'll be in for sure[;)]

Hoping to do a Freestyle competition-whoever does the maddest stunts wins, we need 3 "impartial" judges-some non moster truckers maybe??

Also, looking at the obstacles i've put together we could run Blackfoots/monster beetles etc over them so maybe a seperate class if enough interest???

Can't wait, should be there at 7 tonight...WooooHoooo[:P]

Sunday only for me i'm afraid:

Vintage 2wd - Fox

Modern 2wd - Astute

My brother:

Modern 2wd (Non Tamiya) - Shumacker Cougar 2 Works

Hope that helps [:)]
