RC is so not an urban thing... we dont have the big parks w tracks already made nor the nice backyards for running cars around...

hey i am also looking to buy a Kyosho gas buggy...i never had a gas car before...

i think its the Kyosho Advance... one of the members here has one and he said he would sell it but never writes back... whats up with that?

Its true that it is hard to find places to race around here, I make do with the parks and parking lots. I plan to go race my Traxxas Bandit at a track out on Long Island soon. I have been going down to Floyd Bennett field on Sundays as they race nitro on road cars there. I am considering getting into nitro but I will wait until next spring before I amke that leap.

If you are interested in getting together for some bashing before it gets too cold, LMK.

Well, spring will soon be here and I will start early to organize some kind of meet in Brooklyn N.Y. somewhere. I am talking offroad or on. I can provide four skateboard/Bicycle ramps and all the mini-cones needed to create a nice track anywhere. What is needed is people and a good suggestion as to where to do this. Come on New Yorkers, why are only the guys in the U.K. having all the fun?

I live in Old Bridge in Central Jersey. I have alot of cars! I do mean alot...around 60 if I am not mistaken. I don't really run any though other than the T-maxx I own and an RC10T3. I definitely would be interested in meeting a few people in the area to hang out with and run the cars and trucks. I also have a pretty decent shop in my garage dedicated to RCs. I have alot of parts, wheels and tires. I do primarily vintage Associated, vintage Traxxas, and older Tamiyas. I have even built a few RC10s for fellow TAmiyaclub members. Hello, I couldn't help putting a post in this forum...I live around an hour and a half from NYC in Long Valley, NJ  07853. If you look in my showroom you will see years ago I built a crazy off road track in the woods of my backyard that was published in r/c car action magazine. The track has sat for years because I just don't have time. But with a bunch of people working on it for a couple days or less it could be put back to it's original glory (it's all still there) and would be a awesome place for a meet and laid back racing. Granted the weather is probably going to be a problem this time of year for working on the old track but maybe some time once winter is over or if we have a string of nice weather on the weekends... In the mean time if you guys are going to have a meet some where I would be interested in going...

Its been a long time since I started this thread, some people contacted me but I guess no one was ever serious even though some lived in my area, no one ever commited to a meet. I would still like to get together, there has to be some place in Brooklyn where can can have a decent run. I have enough cones and ramps to make a decent track, so all we need at the least is a flat dirt field. Volks, your backyard track sounds interesting, let me know if you are able to get it cleaned up. I wish I could help, but due to the distance between us, and my only being availible on weekends, that would be tough. I wish I had a track in my yard, but you could not even fit an Xmod track back there. I really want to race my Mod Frog, Blackfoot and Grasshopper, as well as my E-Maxx, RC10B4 and RC18T. Let me know guys and lets get something going!!!

I'm totally down for a bashing session. I contacted a bunch a yous a while back, but due to work obligations, etc, I failed to follow-up. I live 2 seconds away from Prospect Park and have been hunting for spots while jogging. I've found a couple potential spots, but am always on the lookout for more. I think we have enough of us in this area to make something happen. Let's do it!

Peter, Prospect park would be fine for me, can be there in 20 minutes, if you can find a good spot, let me know, with the weather as warm as it was until yesterday, we may be able to get together soon. I am also going to scout out Floyd Bennet Field. I race at an onroad track they have there (nitro only), I will try to find a good spot there for offroad. I like it there because its secluded.

Hi Guys,

 I know I answered this thread way back when... Now that its getting warmer I think FBF would be an excelent place to meet... If you go back past the RC Aiplane Field there is an open area and lots of dirt and sand areas... i think would be perfect for Offroad action.. I am in the process of building my new Re-Frog and would love to run it once done....
