It would be great if we could repeat our meeting. I don't want to wait 5 months really, but I have seen that the Intermodellbau will be in Dortmund again from the 13. - 17.04.2005. This is a large fair where you can see many models and where some championchips are being held. Furthermore you can buy many kits and parts at usually very good prices. For example I bougth my Twin Detonator (the Wildaneer) there for 135 EUR = 93 GBP. Not only cars, everything can be seen there. A day ticket costs 12 EUR.

My idea is to combine this event with our meeting. We don't need to go together to the fair, no, but I guess it's even more worth for you to come to the Ruhrgebiet/Germany.

Here is the official description:

Sounds interesting, I think I will be there too. But this time I better stay for the night. 1000km in one day is not very funny.[xx(]

You can count on me also.[:)]

I hope we can arrange a meeting at a german beach beforhand the Intermodellbau.

I can´t wait 5 month to our next event.[;)]

The Intermodellbau is very recommendable for buying RC-stuff.

Did you know that I had planned to take some mint carpet to Haltern? Yes, the carpet is still lying in my garage. So next time we can drive on carpet and the cars with few groundclearance can also perform. Thanks to the large litterboxes in Haltern, we can easily throw it away afterwards.

I will also organise a mountainbike for a "no time" acces to the parking place. In order to carry all your stuff, we also could use a quad, which can be rent (I'm not sure about this idea, I guess it's easier to organise a trolley). Fantuzzi had a nice little "Einkaufswagen" (trolley that can be pulled).

it would be a pleasure to meet you at your next meeting in Haltern. i hope my job will let me more time for my hobby this year :)

edit: meeting at the toy fair would be also pretty cool.

What are we aiming for? I have to be careful about when and where I take leave at this point because I will be leaving soon. I see no reason why I wouldn't be able to make it though!

I thought about a meeting in Haltern even if it's 50 km away from Dortmund, but a lot has changed there, so a meeting will be extremely difficult there:[:(]

I'll try to find a different location in Dortmund, but I can't promise anything yet.

What a nice tread. Note my foot on the right to see the size.

That's where we used to run our cars during the last meeting.

According to a guy I met, the sand company wants to exploit some more of the fine white sand of the silbersee I (silverlake I), that's the lake where we drove our cars Therefore, they have to move a ship via a huge sand track from the close silbersee II to the silbersee I. The silbersee II will be open for bathing during summer.

Ergo: The silbersee in haltern is not a suitable tc "playground" at the moment.[:0] This will hopefully change soon.[:P]

I'm deeply sorry but I could not find an alternative to haltern. If we want a meeting, we can only arrange a small "meet and greet" during the intermodellbau. Or do you know a good place to meet and drive our cars in or around Dortmund?

I'll be there on wednesday morning for only 2-3 hours. I really have to return then back to work. Luckily, my "workplace" is not very far away from the westfalenhallen.

Ask Chris for such a nice hardcopy like this:
