Hi All. What a great day! Thanks to all who showed up and made the day a fantastic laugh, good to see some new members there, nice one boys. Havent come home with much still working :-( Still suppose you gotta have some casualties along the way....Im sure you will all be able to see the sad state of my swift soon, after it threw a hissy fit and decided to go home all by itself, launching itself up a bank then screaming past 3 old dears (bless em!) and straight across the football field towards the main road at ful steam. Just missing a car by about 3ft (and yes it had a fail safe in the car and with the pcm on my 3VC)????????. Anywho, nice to see so many xc's running and a good mix of other rc stuff, like the 4 or 5 drift cars we had dancing around the car park, and the Italian Job Revisited sceens (a couple of extras made there way in as well but SHHH dont tell any one!!) Top day guys the next one will be on the 5/6/05 (Sunday) If any one wishes to join me again....;-)

Yep, was a great day again. I think a few 'rude' words were said as 5 of us stood there watching the swift zoom towards the road, jaws dropped. (I see where swift came from!) Thanks to brat_man for letting me have a drive of his XC, cheers!

Roll on the next one!

First Kent bash, took three cars and only one survived. Not much success in the woods, Grasshopper built purely for throwing off big jumps lunched a bevel gear in about two minutes, that'll teach me to put 18 triple motors in a old gear box! My lads Mad Bull lasted even less time before he landed it upside down in a large puddle and it stopped working. Still a warm afternoon hanging from the shed rafters has sorted that one. I shall try to make the next one with a few different cars and hopefully be able to keep running longer.

Still the scruffy Mini ran well......

Boys.

TOP DAY. Truely one of the best. And for all your perversions Barbie and her sister are off to the dermotoligist. They both has third degree sunburn on their nipples.

Oh - if any of the Kent mob want me to take pics of their cars, show queens or runners, for their showroom, bring them along to the next KB and we'll do some photosessions. You get the pictures, I get the practice :)

And I'll probably end up doing some Kent Bash montage posters of various KB pics I've taken, and if anybody wants decent A4 colour prints of posters, pics or anything I'm happy to do one-offs or sort out a batch order.

Doesn't look like I will be able to make it this time I'm afraid, I have a wedding to go to on Saturday and it doesn't look like I will be able to make it back in time...

Take lots of pics - looks like Chris' XC posse is gonna be out in full force though...

Sorry can't make it either, off to see the big cars play at Brands Hatch. Will come again promise :) Had a great time on the first one.

Hi all, so how many XC's are people gonna bring along? Doesnt have to be a runner! shelf queens are more than welcome, and they dont have to have the xc shells fitted, just an xc chassis. Or vice versa if ya got another chassis that has an xc or cc-01 shell on bring that along. I see we have a few takers already for the worlds largest xc meeting/photoshoot. I will be taking along 13 (unlucky for some!) in various forms ie Meg, Mog, Show car etc....There will also be a few new cars to play with this time, Mungo will have his first real outing as will barbies new boyfriend (SSSsshh, She doesnt know yet Stuart so break the news easy!!) Also HOPEFULLY the new XC project if i can get the paintwork done in time. I hereby throw down the gauntlet to anyone in TC who can gather the largest number of XC/XC Based cars in one meeting.....Looking forward to see the regulars again and hopefully meeting a few new members who pop along. TTFN.....Chris

I'm more likely going to Kidd than not...

Stu, any reason why you can make Sunday only?

I guess I will probably go Saturday as it's gonna be the main day I guess, and am not planning on spending the night in the car but who knows what's gonna happen! If me new runner ain't dry it might be Sunday instead. I'll let you know what I'm doing anyway...

I have no idea what's gonna occur on Friday night? Is the track floodlit? Lots of dodgy blokes sittting in cars tinkering with cigarette lighter powered soldering irons, I guess. The mind boggles...! :D

I'm preparing myself for a weekend of meeting people going "Hi, my name's "XXX", but I'm "YYY" on TC..."

That's when silly usernames really bite you in the rear - y'know, "Me name's Dave, but you probably know me as EATS_LITTLE_PIGS_AND_DANCES_THE_TANGO_IN_RUBBER..."

ChrisB - will be good to see you again, we missed ya at the last few KB's...

It's a shame I'm gonna miss the XC marathon... :)

Chris...Barbie is all excited. She just hopes he has a mate....she may well be bringing a girl friend to meet all you boys :) Brad is staying at home that weekend as he is of to Gran Caneria with his 2 girls but law and order will be in check with Sushiru, so unless you all want speeding tickets for screaming through the woods l suggest you keep to "the designated areas" LOL

Ben...Reason why l can't do Saturday is that l have things to do to the Ti for the FCS that involve putting things back after having some paint work done and it's also in need of a good clean and check as it hasn't been used since l went away at Easter.......Old cars....there more trouble than they seem in the light of day!!!!!!!! So keep me posted what your movements are.

Are you going down on Friday to Kidd Ben? I'm meeting up with Jozza at South Mimms services on the M25 at about 4.30pm and we are going to cruise up to Kidd from there.

Not sure what the deal is with floodlights etc at the track - I don't remember there being any in the pics from last year but I can't say for sure. Still I'll have my Hummer so that will probably be enough to light up at least a third of the track at any one time [;)].

I think the only way I am going to recognise people is by what they are driving to Kidd. I'll be in my green Mk1 Golf and I believe Jozza is in his silver Zafira. The forecast doesn't look brilliant so I suspect Friday night may well consist of depleting the local Tesco of its stocks of beers and sitting around in the wee small hours getting progressively more drunk and doing daft things with Tamiyas [xx(]

Hope to see some of you there, and if not hopefully at the next Kent Bash.

Cheers,

Chris

Not Friday - like I say, I don't really see much point. Dark track, no floodlights, not much to do except chat and sit around in tents...

I'll either be up Saturday or Sunday, not sure yet - I'll look out for anyone I know (which is, er, you... :)

My car is a dark red Peugeot 306xsi. It might even be clean... (-ish)

Dang, poo and all that! I can't make it this Sunday. I have my Driving school thing on that day which is a real shame. Was looking forward to giving the Pajero it's first run in anger, but it will have to wait!

You all have a good time. Hope to see you at the next one. Can I suggest that we have one is summer that was like the first one - with about 15 members there?
