I'm hoping to get along this Sunday - it all depends on getting my car ready for its MOT next week though - gotta sort a few things before Monday.

Cheers,

Chris

Hi All!! Well the next KB is nearly upon us again and i must say im really looking forward to it, Dont quite know what the weather is looking like for Sunday but I know that at least myself and Brat Attack (Stuart) will be there Rain or Shine!! It would be so nice to see all our XC cars gleaming in the brilliant summer sun, well I can wish cant I! ;-). Ive almost finnished rebuilding the front end of the rather too swift, swift, so all those who saw it tearing off by itself last time can have a little giggle as they see what happens when its taken into the woods to the HUGE JUMPS!! Place yer bets on whether it comes out alive of rather the worse for wear, personaly im hedging my bets and opting for the later but thats what its all about...isnt it?.....See ya there!!.....Chris

weather update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to "THE" BBC the rain will be sweeping thought from the south but shouldn't be with us until much much later in the day. By 4pm it looks like it will still be miles away from London, so Barbie and her chum will be traveling in light summer clothing. As for me, l may well be keeping myself fully covered........so things are looking up for all!!!!!!!

Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bratman...are you trying to be cute?

well boys, another great day with Belly and "the" BBC predicting good weather for the event....here is to the next one. Hopefully l will have something new to run. The Martini is out of action and now sits as drunk as a skunk in the corner and the white Mini really does look like it has rolled down a cliff......a Gecko Cliff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

After seeing Belly's flying Blitzer today I'm quite up for a high jump contest on one of the big jumps for next time.

Up to three goes at each height. We'll avoid the jump between the trees though, I had a few heartstopping moments as Belly's Blitzer went full speed under semi-control towards the stump.

And you *can* enter your XC's into the contest hehe (me? competitive? Nah....)

I think that is a fantastic idea Ben, So the theme of the next KB will be the HIGH JUMP!! obviously the xc's will still be running if people dont wish to join the jump club or just have nothing to jump! I also liked your idea of a winter olympics ski jump stylee event going down the slope, maybe that could be for the one after the high jump meet?? Anyway nice to see some new fresh faces on sunday, glad you all had fun and enjoyed the day as I did. I will try to sort out the next KB date this week and post it on this thread, so keep your eyes open for the 'HIGH JUMP' event date.....Im also thinking maybe 2 classes (Lecky & Nitro) otherwise it would be a little unfair on the lecky cars.

Many thanks to ALL who brought there XC's along on Sunday 5/6/05 to set a presedent on the group shot, I think the photos speek for themselves. TOP DAY!! See Ya Soon!!

I'm not sure with the nitros we could get a high jump bar high enough! :)

We also need to get some cameras and tripods doing some nice motion and freeze shots, and maybe some video as well...

You realise we're gradually turning into a mobile film production unit lol!

I really am going have to try and make it to one of your meets, give me plenty of warning next time...

as for high jumps, you are going to need some tall tripods if our impromptu high jump is anything to go by... I imagine with preperation you are going to go a lot higher.

Where exactly is the kent bash held?

do members take other cars apart from xc's there to drive around, i wish somwhere to have some fun with the 1/14th big rigs. (jumping these i think is a bit unwise)

If you check back to about the first page of the thread I think Chris put some fairly detailed directions up. Its very close to Maidstone and just off the M20.

People have run big rigs there in the past, but from memory the main on road bit is actually the access road and car park for the playing field / recycling bins so you do get cars coming in and out.

I personally don't have an XC, and the 2 bashes I have been to before people have turned up with loads of different vehicles, so its pretty much bring what you want. Although I think the focus of the next one looks like it will be the monster jump [:P], a lot of people will probably just be running other things as well. I don't really have anything I'd fancy subjecting to jumping, but hope to go anyway with a few rally cars, my Hummer and probably my Alfa GTA onroader.

I think as long as you make sure the freq. you want to use is free before turning anything on then you should be fine. SOunds like Chris may be organising some kind of pegboard which will be good as with any more than a few people there is always the possibility of duplicate frequencies being used.

Peg boards are the best way i have known so far in the racing clubs i have been too they are allways used in practice with no problems. i would love to jump, used to have fun with TL01 jumping, pity that car needs so much work before its road worthy again, i would go to watch them jump sounds like fun and the hight in the pictures looks amazing.

The KB is really casual - just bring what you want to run. There's on road, offroad, field, jumps and trial areas.

The only reason for setting the occasional "theme" is so if people want to join in they know in advance what to bring - it's nice to do your own thing but its also nice to do something together (at least that's what I said in court...)

Everyone's welcome and we are a friendly crowd :)

Pegboard? Who needs a pegboard? Everyone knows by know I only have a brown crystal *grins* raises hands [;)][:D]

I'm free!!!!!!!! *raises hands* that weekend has no car club things on. And with so many new toys coming l am unsure what l will bring *shrugs* ??????

Now l need your help. l have a 19d and a 15d....Which one is fastest? and what type of ESP do l need for each? The shop l brought Bratman that dud charger from confused me with the "here comes the science" *dizzy*

Well i think i will be able to make this meet. I do have a question for every1 tho :-). Would people mind if i entered my savage 28 for the high jump as it is the only thing i will have that can take a decent jump. I love the idea of a ski type jump comp. I think my savage would do me proud

I'd love to see the nitros battling it out for the high jump! I'm not sure we going to be able to get a bar high enough though!! *raises bar*

24th july? great! i'll probably have a new grasshopper by then, and hopefully i'll be able to go to my first kb. i've also got my scooby and pumpkin ready too, but ill give the high jump a miss

24th July sounds good to me, there's a dull touring car championship race at the track near my home, nowhere near as much fun as a day's bashing [;)]. Now, I wonder what motor I can shove into the Hornet to see how high it will go? Is attaching wings to the body against the rules? [:P]
