Do you guys fancy trying out the CML Raceway between Reading and Basingstoke? I don't have many very racey cars, but I was thinking about giving it a crack, with my Dark Impact or old Associated B2.

Elliot,

I think the attraction of the Reading Bash is that it's so informal, laid back and the run whatever you what whenever you want style. Saying this, if everyone else is up for trying out the track, I'm sure I'll come along.

Still no reply from Dunk at the moment?

Hi Folks!  Sorry that its been a long time coming, the next ''Reading Bash'' will be on the 15th Oct at 12-noon in the tennis court carpark.

If your new to this?, see directions on earlier pages of this topic. [;)] So start charging those batteries and making sure that your vehicles are screwed together tight!

Please feel free to invite other members who may not be aware of our meet-ups, its always great to see new faces etc..

Cheers, Dunk.

Excellent. It will be a three speed fest I hear.

I have three new battery packs that will be intensively cycled to full capacity in the next couple of days.

I'll be bringing my, Madcap, Lunchbox, Dark Impact and Vanquish.

Right, me and Dad will be there. It ws looking uncertain a few days ago, but it's all good now.

I'll be bringing:

• XC Pajero

• Pumpkin

• Faithful Fox

• Mini

• Celica Gr-B

Looking forward to seeing the 3-speeds, should be a great day.

I'd be well up for a MP/LB race. Does having a sport tuned motor count as cheating? [:D]  One thing I don't have is any rear gearbox springs as the first pair broke within the second run, and I got some new ones but good old Dad lost them! It can still run fine without them, even if it is a little bumpy!

You're more than welcome to look at my Celica, or any models.. Don't know if it will see all that much running as it's quite fragile, but I'll give it a go.

I'm just hoping it's not too leafy, like RB2 was. Anyone fancing bringing along a rake!?

Looking forward to it,

Allie.

Right, I'm all packed up and ready for the off tomorrow morning, after spending about an hour trying to smoothen out the Fox's gearbox as it was grinding after the beach run I gave it. Just finished that, so all my runners are ready for a running!

Looking forward to seeing you all in the morning, bring plenty of cars, cameras and clothes! And take lots of pictures!

Unfortunately our video camera is not working, so it'll have to be just still photos I'm afraid.

Seeya there!

Another great bash! Thanks again to Dunk for organising it, you 'da man!  Thanks to Rad for letting me have a go on his 3-speed, and Elliot for letting me go on his Vanquish.

I've picked the best 70 or so photos out of a good 100, so I should have finished uploading them sometime in 2007.

Thanks again Dunk!

That was fun. Nice to see everyone. I'm bummed my Dark Impact broke. I forgot how excellent the Lunchbox is to drive. Allie, I didn't realise Celica's were 'that' small, it ran well though. The photos are brilliant. Rad's 3-speed was cool.

I emailed you a few days ago on how to join but unfortunately you've gotta be a paid up member to do so.

I've also emailed Dunk and he suggested that a meet sometime in the new year just what we need, so any updates will be posted!

Sorry Allie I got the e-mail. But my innernet is playing silly ******s.

I will at some point stop being a tight git and stump up the £15 for full membership.

Hi Folks, Happy New Year to everyone! [;)]

Right then, The Next Reading Bash (The 1st of 2007) will be on SUNDAY 17TH FEB  [:)]

At the same time as always, and the same place (12-Noon, Tennis court carpark) Please note that the carpark gets quite full because of the football players...

If your thnking of coming for the 1st time? You will be able to get directions from an earlier page in this link. Or feel free to email me (duncanwiddows@aol.com)

As Reading Bash regulars know all-to-well,its a harsh environment for RC cars over the woods. So make sure that every nut and screw is done up tight on your vehicles, or they will fall to bits!! Trees also have a habit of getting in the way too  [:'(]  So its a good idea to leave your best 'ShelfQueen' at home!

I'm thinking of trying to add a bit of swapping/trading of vehicles to the Reading Bash meets, so perhaps lets start with actual vehicles rather than spares etc..  So bring any vehicles that you'd like to swap and maybe someone will have just the thing for you? (Everyone loves a trade, right?!! [;)])

Yup. I'll be there. It's gonna be less stressful than the day I've just had racing in Newbury. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but a couple of times, I thought I'd rather be bashing.

I've been recruiting new attendees, I'll invite them along.

Elliott.
