Should be able to make this one as usual [:D]  I couldn't possibly let my 100% attendance record slip now, could I?

If I do come along, I'll bring a couple of things that are up for sale - TA04-R Chassis, and Celica Gr-B.

Would be nice to see you too Ryck, and for pics / vids of the woods have a look at the Reading Bashers Sig

Hope to see you all there.

couldn't-reply-on-home-computer. ******.

I'm glad you and your Dad are thinking of coming down Ryck.

The site is a little theatre of different terrains. It's a central bombhole with a flat clay based dirt area behind it set in a leafy glade surrounded by a wood and playing fields. There is a small skateboard area by the carpark as well.

The bombhole has a muddy bog at the bottom and quite steep sides, also in the bottom of the hole is a nice jump, if you drop in off the edge of the bombhole, down the steep side you can get a good speed over the jump.

The surrounding clay based dirt area is really dusty in the summer, so you can get some good rally style power slides and rooster tails. But at this time of year you will have the sticky mud. Separating two dirt areas is a smaller slightly more usable bombhole, where most of the jumping action occurs. Again dropping in one side and hitting the lip on the other side you can get some pretty good air.

Tree roots in some areas are a BIG problem, but not for a Lunchbox - apparently.

I'm guessing that currently most of the leaves will have gone and the mud will be thick but not nasty. The boggy area will be very boggy.

Sorry Guys! [:$]

As you all by now know its Sunday 18th Feb. I was in a rush when I wrote the date earlier, sorry once again for any confusion??

Thankyou Allie for sorting it out all over again with everyone!  (I did get the 12-noon bit right!!  [;)] )

I hope to see you all there! Remember to bring any vehicles that you have to trade? I will be bringing a nice Sonic Fighter Buggy. Its ReadyToRun and includes its good condtion kitbox too. Makes a great 'Runner'.

Oh, and just another thing,  All of my vehicles will be running on the yellow 27mhz X-Tal.

Don't forget a flask and sarnies!

Seeing as we're going to be a bit more busy than normal and this was a problem a couple of times before, shall we declare a tranny frequency and then use the same one throughout the day, swapping between cars?

Or shall we just pile in as normal?

Elliott.

p.s. In terms of trades, I've got a Vanquish runner in **** good condition (White shell, good condition tyres, std motor and manual speedo included, if anyone is interested.

p.p.s. Getting a bit excited.

I can see chosing a specific tranny frequency for yourself would be a good idea, however I've got a couple of cars where the crystals are inaccessible for a number of reasons (Inside a sealed balloon, inside the Fox's radio box which takes about 15 screws to get into) and this could be the case for thers too. And to be honest, we've always seemed to manage pretty well before, as long as everyone checks with everyone else before they go for a run.

Vanquish sounds interesting, fancy a Celica Gr-B? [:D]

So, the bash is this weekend on Sunday, just north of Reading in Berkshire.

Who is up for it?

I've just received some nice new tyres for a couple of the cars and bar some battery charging I'm ready to go.

My fleet will be a Lunchbox (original, because it makes a difference), a Madcap (completely baggy and wobbly, but so much fun), my Dark Impact (sturdy and quite fast) and my new Egress (stealthy quiet, smooth, stable and agile).

To trade there will be a Tamiya Vanquish, with a white shell in remarkably good condition.

Sorry to say that I can't make it. Annoyed, yeh, but we've got a busy weekend ahead of us.

Make sure you take lots of pictures and more importantly that you have a great time!

That's a real shame Allie. Have a good weekend.

Myself and Dunk will be there, along with a friend of mine who will be borrowing my cars. Dunk has a friend coming along too.

A couple of the core members won't be going currently.

I'm charging batteries now. So I will be going rain or shine.

Ne'er mind Ryck. Thanks for your interest.

This bash is worth the trip, there is lots of cool stuff to do.

If you are undecided, come down.

I've got tonnes of batteries, so I'll be going all afternoon.

Ace Ace Ace Ace Ace.

All four cars ran well. One failure.

Nice sticky mud.

Thanks to the south coast contingent for coming up with their shiny 3-speeds and Steve, and the guy who walked from the station for coming the distance. Also to the chap with the F350 and the boy in the buggy.

Of course thanks to our Dunk for pinning down the date and finding a good spot.

I had a good day.

I was the fool who walked all that way (nearly 3 miles) uphill.
