Clumber Park 6th March? #RESCHEDULED#

Hiya! Does anyone fancy a get together at Clumber again? was thinking of trying to organise more of a race type meet than just the usual casual bash.

Have liberated a couple of rolls of barrier tape from work and with a few dozen tent pegs should be able to make a decent size track.

Probably not be aiming at organising specific car type races but something along the lines of.

Pre 1985

1985-90 2wd

1985-90 4wd

1990> 2wd

1990> 4wd

Maybe Touring/rally cars?

Don't want it to get to complicated, just want to recreate the races that we used to have in the old days.

Id be there but I dont think the park wardens would like a track set up, they can be a bit funny sometimes.

Hi all. Never been to Clumber for a meet before. Are you racing on 'old' type batteries too and Tamiya motors or do you run modern batteries? Will i be able to run an old Wild One in a catagory? Simple questions i know but don't want to look a fool when i arrive with the wrong car!!

Carrera i will hopefully be running all sorts of old and new stuff, the meet won't be that serious just a get togeather with over Tamiya nuts and having a blast round and maybe the odd race. The wild 1 would be fine, Blondiniboy also has one and i'm sure he will be taking that too.

Don't worry to much about what you have it will be nice to meet you no matter what you bring.

Sounds like it is gonna be fun, sadly I can't make it cos' I have to go to a friends christening plus the fact it is mothers day!!!

Like Lee says, bring what you've got, especially the Wild One! The races will be nothing formal just a blast around track against just running them backwards and forwards like we normally do.

If not that many people come then we'll just run what we've got together and abandon the classes.

the usual meeting place is outside the cafe, opposite the entrance to clumber park. about 11:00/11:30, then the fun begins!!! mmm mud!!

Is this the cafe on the A614, or the entrance nearer to Worksop?

The cafe is on the A614 right opposite the entrance to Clumber.

If you're coming from the A1 it's on your left!!

Obviously if you're coming from Worksop way it's on the right!![]

I'm going to try and get there a bit earlier and set the track up but if you want to meet at the cafe at around 11 then thats fine.

I'll be setting up in the usual place we go to, the bbq area about 1/2 mile through the entrance on the right.

Sorry guys but due to unforseen circumstances i'm going to have to cancel for sunday, i'm really sorry to mess you about. I will be definateley be able to arrange another meet on 20th March if that is ok with you.
