Hi all,

I just saw some awesome truck and digger pics on TC;-

Also these Incredible truck movies on TC! I love it! ;-

http://www.tamiyaclub.com/moviecomment.asp?id=769&uid=

They really inspired me...

...I wish there was a truck meeting like this in the uK (or elsewhere also for our other TC members) ?

Anyone know? Help?!

Cheers,

I don't know how big R/C trucking is in the uK at the moment. I only just found out about this uK magazine for trucks ;-

http://www.carmags.co.uk/eshop/exec/shop.p...1&lid[0]=1&ps=0

TC pal Stefan says that this magazine hasn't got any R/C models in it at the moment but TC pal Ant (ant88 ) says that he has (just like I myself have just done) just subscribed last week, as some of his trucks are in the latest issue #109!

...so maybe they are starting to have more R/C stuff now to get more interest into the magazine, since more people like R/C compared to static models (at least I hope!).

In Germany and the Netherlands, R/C trucking is huge.

There is a German language (I think?) magazine dedicated to R/C trucking;-

http://truckmodellsport.de/shop/group_079.html

and there is the Minitruckers site (huge majority being 1/16 scale Wedico) ;-

http://www.minitruckers.nl

I have to use AltaVista / Babel Fish to translate this site from Dutch to English, and Netscape 7 which allows me to view each frame in a new window.

Also I just got my new Tamiya Truck handbook a few days ago and I am very happy with the lovely pictures in it;-

I really wish that there was a truck meeting like the Minitruckers have, but here in the uK, for all Wedico and Tamiya trucks (mixed is fine with me [:D]).

Or maybe we could start an R/C scale truck club (scale models only, no racing [;)]) in the uK, because it looks very much as if we desparately need one. For reference, I am in the North West of England (St.Helens, Merseyside).

I'Ve just got word that the organiser of the south cheshire millitaire ,Crewe will be contacting me to find rc trucks to attend this event on the 26th feb. A small indoor area will be set asside to run a few trucks at a time. A good way to promote the hobby. Will know a bit more tomorrow with luck. E mail if you are interested. Neil.

I would be inrteasted in the meeting in Alsager, I am 10 mlies away. My trucks have only been driven on carpet around in circles in the spare room, I don't know if  I would be able to drive in straight line now. Any more details, times etc,??
