Well in the Frenzy of preparing for Kidd I have just spend the last hour in the garage going deaf with my compressor thundering away in my left ear [;)].

Also got the rattle cans out to paint my blizzard and touch up the paint on my rally special Scooby [:)].

Hoping i get some time tonight to put everything back together as its gonna take me a while tomorrow to pack the car, and I'm bound to forget something! Got a cheap £14 sleeping bag and 7 quid collapsable chair thingy from Halfords today. Don't have a table though which I am guessing will be pretty essential - Sainsburys had some lightweight camping ones on offer - might grab one on the way tomorrow.

Getting quite excited!

Yep, I'm getting rattley trying to build/paint/decal/customise my new car before Saturday.

I'll start Friday morning and hopefully finish it completely while there's still good enough light to go and get some new built pics...

Spent the last two days up to my eyes in repairs, charging batteries and trying to convince the other half to fit the bearings in her twin detonator.

Tonight I have had a really relaxing time finally watching her do the bearings ;)

I'm much more prepared this time than for previous meets (or perhaps I'm just more laid back about it this time [8D].

I've got a shedload of batteries to charge up tonight, the cars are all ready apart from a couple which will either be fixed when I'm there or will just be coming for the ride. Willy is going to run in his unpainted Jeep, I had plans for an "interesting" paint scheme, but just haven't had the time to do it. The driver is looking better than he did though, he was a ghostly white all over until a couple of nights ago, now only his eyes need colouring in, and if they don't get done he's just going to look like he's wearing mascara [:o)].

Most of my concentration has been on getting some lights sorted out for a couple of cars - Looks like the Monster Beetle is finally going to be running with it's lightshow - thank heavens for Duck Tape [:D]. I'm just programming some different effects into it now.

The worst thing for me is they are replacing the gas main down my road, the nearest I could park tonight was about half a mile away. Don't fancy the thought of lugging 15 cars, 2 tents, beers and grub all that way to load it up [xx(]

Doesn't look good for me - I ran out of paint trying to get this car done (d'oh!)

Have people experienced defective cans of Tamiya paint? For example, I sprayed my Scooby black with one can, and one can has always been enough to do a standard paint job before. This time, doing *half* a buggy shell (which is smaller than a touring shell anyway), I've run out of paint and it has barely covered it and is really see-through...

Of course the model shops are closed, and by the time i do everything tomorrow I won't be able to make it to Kidd until the evening. ;)

It's possible I might make it up on Sunday, but I don't know yet...

The past week has being mental for me. Cos of all the overtime i've being doing I've had no time to prep :S hence hence the lack of some of my cars. Still, I'm really looking forward to it. Gonna be bombing down the motorway at about 2am tonight cos i dont finish work til 12.

Sorry if i wake any of you up when I pull up at 4am ;)
