Well, I seem to be the first back at a PC (lightweight [:I]) so I'll start the 'wasn't Kidder great' thread off.

Even though me and the boy only stayed until 5.30 on Saturday (the lure of a roast chicken dinner at me Mum's was too great [;)]) we had a great day. It was ace to see old and new faces and to experience again the barely controlled anarchy of a TC meet. Highlight's for me were the two 4wd buggy races and the 'demolition derby' that the rally race turned into. Matt did really well round the track with the Gravel Hound and Blitzer Beetle considering he'd never driven on a circuit before, and he did his bit marshalling as well.

Hopefully the rest of Saturday (can't wait to see pics of the Long Jump) and Sunday went well.

Big thanks to all involved in getting it together [8D] Cheers. David

Another great weekend for me as well, much fun had both racing and chatting. Thanks again to Chris for organising and the army of kids who were marshalling plus those who helped me out through the weekend. Worst part for me by far is the suburn on my face neck and arms!

As the others have said a truly superb weekend and I just wanted to add my thanks to Chris for organising a really memorable weekend. It was brilliant to finally meet so many of the people I have chatted to on the forums over the last year or so [8D] - a real laugh and I'll definitely be pulling out all the stops to make the next meet.

The track at Kidd was great, even for a complete novice like me, and I even managed to run my Alfa M-chassis and my TL-01 Scooby which I didn't think would get much use.

Don't know about anyone else, but despite wearing a hat most of today and yesterday I still ended up doing a good impression of a beetroot [xx(].

Fantastic weekend & great bunch of people - look forward to doing it again next year [;)]

P.S. If anyone has any good pics of my Hummer / Scooby / Alfa in action I'd love copies - as always you never seem to get time to get pics of your own cars!

Roll on the next meet where hopefully the Gravel Hound will fly again wit 8.4 volts and brushless power ! Hornet is looking a bit worse for wear considering its first run was on Saturday and it was the star of this months Racer magazine review[:I]

Ditto to all the above really. I had a great weekend, managed to get a few runs in with the Twin Detonator, Falcon, Gravel Hound and Turbo Optima Mid, although the latter unfortunately developed an illness in the Vintage 4WD race and seems to have transmission problems. [B)] Many thanks to Chris for getting the event arranged and especially to Molly who endured Saharan conditions in the dusty infield, marshalled like a pro, smiled all weekend long and never complained. What a star. [^]

Many of the races were a real spectacle, the long jump being particularly amazing (I think Darren's Gravel Hound flew 38 feet in the end[xx(][B)]) Jez's Blitzer with what looked like Striker wheels on the front and Clodbuster ones on the back [xx(].

Had a great to-do with the guys in the modern 4WD race with the trusty Gravel Hound flattering my ham-fisted driving style and making me look good.

I also came away a happy bunny after Evoman and SynchroCNC emptied my wallet rather rapidly. New arrivals will appear in the showroom soon.

I actually managed to have a relaxing and stress free weekend thanks to not running around like a madman trying to video all the events. Suffice to say, this means I have very little video fottage to make into a movie, so there probably won't be one. Thanks to Claire for taking video and pics though - they get better every time [^]. I did manage to take 1.5GB whath of stills though, something like 1000 photos, so I'll sift through those and see where we get to - there's some real belters I am sure.

I look forward to the next one...!!!

Another great weekend, weather held up for us even if it was a bit windy Saturday, the marshalling by Molly and other young 'uns was superb. Many thanks to Chris for organising the event, to the guy who runs the track (sorry, can't remember his name) for letting all of us come there a second time, and to everyone who was there and gave their company, advice and the odd spare part (cheers Daz, Biggus, Twinset, anyone else I scrounged bits off and forgot)

Loooking forward to the next one!

Oh no!!

I'm really **expletive** off that I couldn't get to Kidd this time I've been to all the TC Drives since I joined, but due to circumstances I just couldn't get over, so another meet for those of us who couldn't get down would be great!!

Hmmm isn't there a bank holiday weekend in August??[;)][:D]

Thanks to everybody for making me feel really welcome at my first TC meeting.

I only wish I could have been there for the Saturday too but the lure of the overtime was too great.

Thanks for all the great comments on my 1:1 truck too.
