Attended show today, quite inpressed with display of goods, only a couple of the RC big rigs there shame, I was told that the club who attended last year did not come due to organisers not prepared to allow them an area for driving display, so they decided not to attend, considering there was a waisted area at the show anyway. could have been more to it just have to see. also can't belive organisers wanted to charge £120 for access to a socket for charging batteries, that is daylight robbery in my book. at least *** turpin wore a mask in old days.

there was more balance of items across model hobby. which is good not just RC cars etc. model kits and trains. it is steep in right direction.

7/10 for effort.

what was other peoples thoughts about the show.

i went with my wife and biggusditchus(rich) and for what i saw as "the" model event of the year it wasnt that good,£10[:0] for a ticket to get in and £7[:0] to park your car about 9 miles away! steep? bloomin vertical if you ask me!,we found some vintage tamiya spares which me and rich relieved the seller of for buttons!![;)][;)],

i got some dead good but cheap 3300 nimh's and other bits[:D] ,the"off road demo" was pants ive seen better jumps from members of tamiya club[;)] compared to todays effort, big 100ft run ups to the jumps and they take about 5ft ones?? wow!,the show stands were good and we saw some excellent models on display trucks/tanks/boats/hovercraft etc..

funnyist bit of the day was the "drive a tamiya tank for a £1" the bloke who owned them all must have gone spare as the hoards of 6-12yr olds played banger racing with them[B)]

if anyones going on sunday take some dinner as the food there is extortion

well i went on the sunday and thought it wasnt good at all.

i went with a wallet full of cash and came back £10 lighter and that was for the entrance.

there wasnt anything worth buying their that my lhs does not have and he is also cheaper than the stands at the show was so my money will be spent in there.

i dont think i will go next year unless they move the venue
