Yeah sorry about that but when I said too close to Xmas, I didn't mean the bash was too close to Xmas, just that it was too close to Xmas timewise and I haven't finished off getting all the stuff ready (4 kids and inlaws coming round means my life won't be worth living if it's not all prepared in time) so I might have to give it a miss this time. It would be nice if we can get together for a bash day in the New Year, or maybe just wait till the weather picks up a bit in the Spring?

Sounds like someone peed in someone's ceral.  I'll be off this next week so if someone wants to come up and crawl around in Thetford forest, I'll drive from New Market to anywhere.

..another few words of wisdom there from our armchair r/c pundit - thanks Josh!

True, I was annoyed at John's posting, (which shows in my reply) but only for about 10 minutes! Nah the real truth is that I've been getting bored with the bashing side of things for some time now and have decided to get back into racing - this means a serious amount of weekend time must be set aside for racing and a lot of r/c car-selling to help pay for it. I've also recently started a new job which means I work most Saturdays and some Sundays which is a further drain on my 'free' time. I am still hoping somebody will undertake to run EB and keep it going as, from what I'm told, quite a few people get a lot out of it - it seems a shame to let it die now it's so well established don't it?

Anyway I'll definately still be going over to Red Lodge whenever I feel the urge, and I'll still be attending KB and Kidder if/when I can so hopefully I'll get to swap paint with you guys again sometime!

Oh and.... MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

There's always Monday night racing at Risby or Wednesday night in Bury. That's what I do every week. I don't just sit on my pc and complain about stuff. I'm building project scale crawlers, working on my Super Clod Crawler, keeping Taz out of my toyroom so he can't steal my 3 speed and upgrading my TA05 for each race. Now tell me who's the armchair rc racer? Not me by a long shot.

Oi! Stop hijacking our thread for your own personal rabblings Josh [;)]. Right now to address the more important things. As you say Buzz, it would be a shame not to continue having Eastern Bash meets, considering its now been happening for over a year. I would gladly stand in as the organiser, if all I have to do is arrange a date, how hard can that be [:P]. I expect there is more to it than that, but anyways. You've done a fine job of getting it up and running though, so good on you for that. I just hope you'll practice your driving a bit before you start racing [:D].

 Merry Christmas everyone!

Bazman; I'd like to explain how much more difficult arranging an Eastern Bash really is ..but I can't. Setting the date and turning up really IS all you have to do!! [:$] Personally I'm glad it's you that's taken it on mate - respect! [Y]

As for the racing, it's not a huge problem because it's 1/8 Stockcars so all I have to remember to do is turn left at the end of the straight bits! [:D]

Chill Josh, just yanking yer chain mate! [:)]

Hello,

I just recently moved to England, living in the Barton Mills area and am looking for some people/places to drive my cars. I read that you all sometimes meet in the Red Lodge area, I would be interested to know when and where.

Thanks in advance,

Dave

Hi Dave, ermm after taking over leadership of this, I haven't really done anything about it. I've been meaning to come on here and see when people are gonna be about. So who of the original group is still about, Mr_p? Jozza? Stu? Maybe we could sort out a date for next month.

I'm a bit wary of setting a date, just in case I can't make it [;)], but it would be nice to get out for a bash soon. I'm fairly tied up at the moment, so can't make it for a few weekends - there's a Kent Bash on 11th Feb I think, so it would be an idea to steer clear of that date, so how about a couple of weeks after that, towards the end of Feb? Weather might even be reasonable by then. I've just finished a new bodyshell for the Ezilla to replace the Ugly Bug, so it would be nice to give that a bit of a run - maybe it would last more than the traditional 30 seconds before the car breaks down this time [:D].

I am still alive! Like Buzz, my job involves weekends although I don't start work till 3pm on a Sunday. I do however have the next week off so if anyone fancies having a bash during the week or next Saturday.............

Monday nights are touring car/ micro's at Risby which is between Mildenhall and Bury.  www.burybuggyclub.com  Not even buggies really.  Trucks would be my guess at what is best but you can always come and play with what you got. Just limited on where you can drive.

Time to check the rota at work then! If you haven't been before and want to know what the terrain is like then have a look in my showroom for pics and vids. There is nowhere for touring cars but you will be ok with rally cars, buggies, trucks, crawlers and anything else like that.
