Hi all, just registered.

I've been trying to gather people from the MSUK forums for ages now for a Cambridgeshire bash, but it never really happened. I was pointed over here by another member.

I'd be interested in coming to one of your bashes. What cars are allowed? I only have one Tamiya vehicle which isn't going to be suitable! The rest are Kyosho and Traxxas.

Cheers!

Will

Why is is your Tamiya unsuitable? Is it a tank? That would be cool

No-one went into conniptions when I mentioned bringing a non-Tamiya car, so I guess it's ok - as long as you promise to bring a Lunchbox or other silly big wheel car next time. At least if they make us stand in a corner, you won't be on your own :D

LOL! Bring anything you want guys, and watch Tamiyas superior vehicles thrash you on the track

Seriously though, as long as it's got decent ground clearance (ie not a road only car or truck) then it should make it around the electric area - providing dirt bikes haven't wrecked it.

So this bash is official now? I hope so :D

It's the M03 Mini :D

All my others are nitro come to think of it. The E-Maxx isn't ready to go yet, currently undergoing a LiPo upgrade!

Revo allowed?

I would love to mate but I cant get away - its an hour each way for me so to make it worth it I would be well over any alotted timeslot!

Have fun though and take pics!

We will have to keep them more regular too!

Ok matey, we'll see you at the next one :o

Yea it would be cool to keep them a little more regular. I definitely want to go back to snetterton again too, that was a fun bash.

I should be able to get to red lodge for some time in the morning, depends how early lewis hamilton flies of the track on sunday morning. :)

Weather forecasts for tomorrow seem to suggest it'll be mild, dry and bright, but with increasing cloud & wind building up through the day.

This coincides with the commonsense (& more reliable) method of looking out of the window right now - there's a 60% chance it'll be exactly the same in 24 hours time :)

I'll be watching the Grand Prix too, so plan to arrive at around 10:45. :(

I'm not going to be able to attend tomorrow any more. I managed to get my big toe broken in today's rugby match :D Need to rest it for a few days and get it checked next week. I guess I have an excuse now to finish my LiPo conversion on my old E-Maxx! I'll make sure I introduce myself at the next one. Would be good to have a regular local bash.

Well, I had fun - the jacked up TL01 beetle worked better than expected (although the body shape helping it end up back on its wheels was a big bonus), the RC10 didn't explode (though it'll need new suspension pivots, a milder motor, a bumper & new bodywork before I want to take it out again), and the Lunchbox (apart from loosing a wheelnut) went great too.

For a long time I've just been driving solo in my back garden, it was great to get out on a track of sorts with some other people - I've come to the conclusion that in general I don't need more speed, I need more practice!

Russ - I'm hoping your Dad got a few shots of my cars in motion (rather than on their roof or stuck in the shrubbery :D ) - if so can you email them? :D

It was a good little meet!

The track was in much better shape than last time too, after a bit of raking and a few laps it was fairly flat.

Found out the brush springs on my King BF's motor were loose, so it barely moved. Shame really as I was looking forward to trying it on the track!

Let's organize another bash soon :D
