Tomorrow is charging & pre check day for the usual suspects;

Maybe a Top Force too, the Monster Beetle is sidelined with a broken body mount (AGAIN!!!!)

Yup I am still on for Sunday - looking forward to it - I will have Super BushBlackDevilFoot :( Lunchbox and insane Brushless Thunder Dragon and I may bring my High-Lift just for show :lol:

Got an AE86 TT-01 drifter now too so itching for a trip to Snetterton in the New Year :(

****, got the family coming over on Sunday ;) All my cars are itching to get out too!

B****cks, Me too ;) spudgunn will be here as well . One in January will be good for us. Snetterton suits us. We also have cars rearing to go. Be interesting to see how well after the last bash. Bit cold and moist if I remember correctly!!!

I think I'm just about sorted for tommorow - I've even dug out some balloons, grippy's, duct tape & zipties in case a bit of onsite emergency waterproofing is required ... I would say I plan to be there sometime between 1030 & 1100, but I think you know how good my timekeeping is :P

I'm going to be there around 9

got folks coming over in the afternoon so my stay is going to be shorter that normal.

I'm bringing the txt-1, king blackfoot, clod buster, pumpkin, grasshopper and bruiser. It shouldn't rain tomorrow, hopefully the mud isn't too bad on the track!

Great looking cars out there. Shame I missed it AGAIN :lol:

I think I'm going to purchase another Tamiya kit (not sure which), so I fit in a bit more! My Mini (only Tamiya) isn't too good on that sort of ground!

I think the ideal RC car for the Eastern Bashes would be:

* A bit silly (for the fun factor)

* Simple enough that you can clean it by hosing it down (if it's wet) or brushing off (if it's dry)

* Something with big wheels & high ground clearance (to keep the electronics out of the muck)

* one with long suspension travel (and big squishy tyres) (to cope with the "bumps")

* cheap enough that you won'y cry when you roll it (or drive into someone else :P ), or it wears out due to the sand

* tough

2WD buggies (especially with hotter motors) don't work very well there due to the lack of grip, 4WD buggies are better (although overly complicated for cleaning), rally type cars just don't have the ground clearance ... what you're really looking at is somthing in the monster truck style - Lunchboxes & Midnight Pumpkins best fit the bill (even better if you can get a good one cheap 2nd hand), the Wild Willy 2 would be another option, as are blackfoots & monster beetles

:lol:

Hmm, I was just looking at the Baldre 4WD buggy too! I have my Revo and E-Maxx (full LiPo conversion) trucks for clearance/abuse. Could possibly consider parting with the E-Maxx as I know if I got another, it wouldn't get used!

It doesn't have to be Tamiya, we've had everything from 1/18th FTX's to 1/5th FG stadium trucks there, Asso's, Losi's, Savages etc etc. Running nitro's & 2 stroke is never guaranteed though, but anything electric is a good bet.

Of course!

I was a newcomer in the beginning of this year. :(

It's always a good laugh, and a great place to bash with other crazy folk :lol:

Any makes are welcome, the more the merrier really!

Just keep any eye on this thread, I think we are going to try and plan the next eastern bash for Snetterton - which is an on road offical RC track, though any type of RC appears to be allowed on the track.

Coolio thanks!

I've only got electric Tamiyas, the usual suspects, Lunchbox and Willy etc.

I'm happy enough out on my own or with my lad but it's so much more fun with a big group of people. I'm near Northampton so Snetterton ain't too far to go really.

I'll keep my eyes on this thread if this is where the new dates are announced.

ok the race calander is up Snetterton Race Calander

Spoke to Jon Guest at Snetterton Park Model Car Club and he said the track is open weekdays 9.00am until dusk during the winter months, 9.00am until 5.00pm during the summer.

Anyone see a good date for the next Snetterton Eastern Bash?
