Got a few things to bring along to hopefully dispose of - I really CBA'd to pack them up & post them, which is why I'm posting here & not in trades ...

1- re-re Super Clod Buster box, printed half & inner wheel box are near perfect, unprinted lower half has a bit of a crease in it;

2- MSonik 4 RV27 ECO ESC, very clean, appears to hardly have been used, forward & brake works fine, but I simply _cannot_ get reverse out of it - maybe a setup issue (operator error), maybe something burned out, I can't tell;

3- Ansmann prepainted, prestickered Ford GT 1/10 shell in dark blue w/ white stripes, has been drilled for a TA03F chassis, never run

£4 each, trade for WHY, or a bacon roll on the day

The weather forecast is for rain all day Saturday, frost overnight, and "sunny" on Sunday... I think I'll pack wellies, an umbrella, ziplock bags and sunblock just to be on the safe side :)

The "trophy" is just about ready .... hope to see a bunch of you 10am onwards on Sunday the 29th of March :)

:P ...this trophy,

it's going to be a polished ESC in a blue GT shell mounted on a Clod Buster box isn't it.

You're not thinking politically incorrect enough ;)

Just got to find a rake & I'll be heading off :)

The rake proved invaluable, maybe a boat hook next time though ?

Apologies to the guy with the Axial, I have no idea who you are & it seems nobody introduced themselves. :D

Post here & say hello.

LOL - it's a long way out to the middle of some of those puddles :D

...

me neither ... but I did lend him my charger :P

That was me :P

Sorry, maybe I should have made more of an effort to mingle lol

I was in a state of "where is everyone..." the only person I recognised was buzz, and that was after I got over the initial shock of his lack of hair.

I used to go to eastern bashes ages ago, and the crowd was different is all. Thanks to whoever lent me their charger, hopefully I'l get to the next bash nearer the start time, with more than one working car :D

Cheers,

Martin

No worries, we were all a bit like that.

It was pretty quiet for an EB, several of our regulars had prior commitments, although it was good to finally get Stonemole along to one (he was the guy with the black lunchie with the ridiculous wing)

It was me who asked what the crawler was btw.

Russ.

Oops! :P Sorry Russ I assumed you'd know Martin from before but obviously not! No this guy's no stanger to EB's and was one of the hardcore back in the day (...and he's right about my hair which was down to my waist back then lol!) oh sure it's all innocent for now with his iccle crawly Defender but don't be fooled I have photos of his Rush Evo fifteen feet in the air that tell a very different story! ;)

Thanks to him and Russ for lending me enough volts to drown my E-Storm (why the carpark-only running guys?) and help me come to terms with the fact that my 20 or so battery packs need binning and replacing before turning up next time! Although I've moved I'm still very local (West Row) so I'll pop down as and when I can until I get chance to sort my gear out properly so I can get back into regular EB attendance again.

Incidentally I will be eBaying a big pile of Tamiya/RC stuff soon so if there's an EB before it gets listed I'll bring it along so you can have a rummage at mate's rates. See you all soon!

Cheers,

Buzz.

Good stuff (i've emailed you btw buzz), as for the Rush Evo, I have no idea what you're talking about, sensible scale model driving and carefully executed manouvers maybe but jumping? Me? Never!

Come on, when's the next one? I've caught Bash fever again

I dropped hints about an "Easter Saturday" bash on Saturday 11th April earlier in the thread ... any takers?

No can do I'm afraid, it's my little 'uns birthday

And I have to work Friday too

Gutted at missing the bash. Unfortunately the fuel tank emptied at the same time as my wallet so I was left stranded at home. I'd like to say yes to the 11th but I'm expecting family get-together for Easter. Not sure if it includes Saturday yet. (Fingers crossed, I'm suffering from severe withdrawal symptoms since that wet day long ago at Snetterton.) Hope to see you all soon

Looks like fun was had as usual - how was the "track" looking? I see from Buzz's comment that you didnt use it again?

The track wasn't too bad when we arrived, but soon after some other guys turned up in a Transit van with dirt bikes before we had moved from the car park.

I guess we could have gone down there, but like the big kids we all are, we were just as content playing in the puddles ;) .

I am sick of cleaning muddy water from my cars so the Lunchbox is still as dirty as the last time I used it and the Thunder Dragon is a filthy rusty mess ;)

Welcome to the "If it goes don't bother touching it till next time" squad. You've probably noticed that Me and spudgunn are avid followers of the squad. The only water they see is the stuff we drive through not the stuff you wash with.
