im also not running anything hard till sunday as i have a habit of breaking stuff..

is this just me or do we all break are stuff more than we run them ? i have 6 cars and all of them have been broken in the last 3 months. or is it just my lack of mechanical sympathy?

I don't know ... I have some "bad luck" cars that always have issues - like my lunchbox - wet RXs & ESCs, poor reception, bearings breaking, wheelnuts coming off, front suspension that I just can't get sorted, gears stripping, etc, etc ... and some cars that just won't stop running no matter how much abuse they get - my FF01 & RC10 come to mind :)

I've had enough of wet electrics, so I'm planning on staying out of the puddles this time - well, I always plan to, they just seem to have a magnetic attraction for me :D Hopefully we can get on the "track" this time - if not, I plan to limit myself to the dry stuff & taking photos.

I'll be bringing a ramp/board again, so these "plans" probably won't work out: RC car + puddle + ramp = "even though on every other attempt I was at least 6 feet short, I will clear it this time!" :D

i think down on the track is the best bet on sunday. although throd the destroyer wants to bring his Glass 'opper so might get stuck down there?

I want to put mine and Blackies Madbulls to the test and i can now join the blackfoot squad!!

oh and lunchbox is coming just to see how quick i can break it.

...

Maybe not - I'm bringing a rake in the hope someone else will do the hard work, then if we hit the track with Clods, etc first, then with big wheelers, it may end up fairly passable B)

I was wrong about curry at the Red Lodge Inn - it's completely gone from the menu :D

The weather looks promising for tomorrow - probably a bit grey alternating with some sun, and the probability of rain is fairly low.

Space permitting, as well as a rake, board, and box of tat for sale, I'm planning on bringing my Clod, a couple of big wheelers, and a couple of 2WD buggies ... + of course, the "worst presented car" trophy :D

I'm thinking an early start would be good - I'm thinking of being there at the crack of 10am if anyone else is up for it :)

I'm "aiming" for about 9:30, which usually means I'll see you lot about half ten :)

I am hoping to be there for approx half nine and getting on the outside of a big breakfast ready for a full day. I will be bringing my usual Blackfoot & Lunchbox and probably a couple of IC buggies which may possibly be up for sale for megabucks ( if they work ok ) Oh, and I may just bring the camera too.

I got everything filthy as usual, cracked my Mad Bull & Munchkin shells a bit more, busted the roll cage on my SuperFoot & drowned the receiver in my Mad Bull.

But I did manage to loop the loop with the Munchkin, Jonny Retro got some photos of it, hopefully Pastonperson got some video too.

Once again an excellent turn out of Lunchboxes & I was surprised to see quite how many Blackfeet put in an appearance, there must have been 5 or 6 there at least ?

Yeah we did, well the usual mosey down to the track & thrash round with whatever has a pack in at the time.

I ran 6 packs yesterday & 3 of the were on the "track", the others were in the car park, 2 each in the Mad Bull, Munchkin & Superfoot.

The Mad Bull is ok on the track, but doesn't have quite enough ground clearance really,in the car park it was difficult to keep in a straight line due to the RZ motor, but it makes a surprisingly good jumper, stable & controllable in the air with the brakes / throttle. Probably the only downside is the fragile styrene shell, if there was a lexan GH2 body or similar it would make a REALLY tough basher.

I didn't get a chance to break my madbull shell , i drowned it in 5 mins..............

but bashing the lunchbox round the track and attempting to knock Mr retros clod of the track resulted in less damage than i expected :D)

Did you all know the Luncbox is espically attracted to ferns ! :oP

... attempting to knock Mr retros clod off the track ...

Yep, that did strike me as slightly optimistic at the time :D ... though my Clod did manage to fall over at 1/4mph after touching the wheel of someone's lunchbox :o

I think it's time to "retire" my RC10 - I could lash up the broken front shock tower, but stripping the gears in 5th or 6th steering servo in less than a year, despite having the servo saver on its softest setting has really put me off the thing :(

I managed to come home with everything intact for a change. Thought I'd drownd the blackfoot at one stage but five minutes upsidedown and away it went again. As both Blackfoot & (may I say award winning) Lunchbox both survived the day I didn't get much footage of the cars but what I did get I will post somewhere so you can have a laugh. The only other thing I have to say is:-[

GOD I HATE I C's:o

See you all at the next one. Now I'm off to do some editing.
