Clubs in North Cheshire, South Manchester area

I am wondering whether any one knows of any clubs in the North Cheshire, South Manchester area? I know of one in Stockport, ut unfortunately they run on the only night I can't make but would love to find one that maybe runs on a weekend.

If not, and anyone else is in the area and would like to meet up then let me know.

There's the club I run, Stockport Model Car Club at the Village Hall, Brook Road, Cheadle http://www.stockportmcc.org.uk We run on Thursday nights, small, friendly and we run just about anything electric for fun. Racing costs £2 per week and membership is free. There a few of us into vintage R/C, recently we have been racing our vintage buggies, more fun than modern tourers as long as you don't break them []

There is a club at Poynton Civic Hall, Poynton that runs on Wednesday nights. I've not been down there for years and they don't have a website but for more details you could try calling 01625 871456

Finally there is Macctrak, otherwise known as Phoenix Raceway, Meadow Mill, Tiviot Way, Stockport. http://www.macctrak.co.uk They race Tuesdays, Fridays and Sunday afternoons. They race touring cars and 1/12th scale. Racing costs £5 per night and membership costs £35. They take their racing seriously there, if you roll up there with a Tamiya make sure it's a TRF415.

Thanks for that, I've been in contact with you before I think as I knew of the one in Stockport, my only problem is I work till late on a Thursday, so I can't get down there, but I'll enquire about the Poynton one.

The racing buggies sounds a blast, thats pretty much all I have anyway, I only currently have the one touring car. It may hold out at the Macclesfield one, its a TA04-R, but its not the car that will let me down, more my driving!
