Justin,

Check out rc4wd.com for chassis and get an idea of what you want (tuber frame , aluminum frame). If you decide on a tube chassis there are a few people who build *custom* chassis , if you send me an email i can send you links of their works and how to get in touch with them.

I think il have an aluminum frame? Could you put some links up for *custom* chassis makers TamiyaBeaterFleet??

Cheers

Justin,

As far as aluminum chassis goes there isnt much in the way of custom, Tube chassis is where you will find some cool custom works.

Aluminum chassis are excellent, you might want to look at

Rcguy.com - the gecko2 chassis

Inetrc.com - any chassis

If you want to wait thundertech (who makes all the carbon fibre chassis like the ripper) are coming out with a aluminum chassis for around 150$ USD

and of course rc4wd.com has a good amount of aluminum chassis and parts.

Hope it helps, send me an email at balzmahony@aol.com if you have any more specific questions,

Thanks,

Kyle.,

by any chance does anyone know how to go about designing my own chassis for a mod clod. i have just brought a bullhead from a fellow tamiyaclub member and am thinking of using lexan to make a chassis as i haventgot any way of cutting and welding alloy to make a chassis. i would like to have cantilevers as the stock clod chassis is well lets just say rubbish. also i have a picture i want to copy onto a shell so how could i go about doing this[?] i have a printer so i can print the picture of but dont know how to transfer it to my shell [V]

Thanx

hi all,

You can use a glue made by various body manufacturers (RC) to apply a picture to the shell, but i think PVA might also work. as for the lexan chassis, it might flex a bit too much, but It depends on the thickness of the lexan, ABS or Aluminium would work best i think.
