That looks killer but is also an expensive proposition. $130 for a TLT, another $170 for the kit. $60 for 2.2 size tires and wheels and the what ever it would cost to get some Stampede gears and slider shafts. In the end you'll probably have $450 Just in the chassis alone.

Mines already been ordered [:D] Just couldn't resist after neo posted his.

Should be here in the near year - can't wait.

And Jim your estimate is a bit low [:I]

Looks good but I like the shell even more! [;)]

I'd be worried about the lack of ground clearance considering it has a 12" wheelbase on 2.2" tyres. Compare that TLT chassis with my crawler which is also shaft driven on 2.2" tyres with a 13" wheelbase. I've found in practise that the more clearance under the belly the better otherwise you just keep getting hung up on rocks, bricks etc. This TLT looks especially low slung? is it meant to be that low? I think I'll live with the slightly higher CoG on my chassis because despite that chassis having a very low CoG I just can't see it coping with the rubble we have in our garden [:P]

The TLT in my opinion was put on this planet to be used as a doner for just these types of projects.[:D]

It is basically a scaled down TXT.

With the donations it can make to the 1/10 world and the tractor truck arena these axles will find themselves in unique places.

Thank you Tamiya [^]

Yep, very true Mike, I've seen TWINSETS TLT and that looks gorgeous and certainly seems to have more under belly clearance too - maybe TWINSET should go into production!!! [8D]

The TLT chassis in the first link isn't wasn't designed as an out and out crawler chassis, its just being used that way. He's got a full on crawler chassis in the design pipeline :)

It'll fit a WW2 wheel underneath, no problem, but production won't happen I'm afraid.

If anyone wants to buy the drawings, they're more than welcome [:D]
