hi i have a tamiya twin denator twin motor and i want to put a esc on it but two problems one i dont know what esc to get and two i can not afford a twin motor esc. so what i want to know is is it possable to get a single motor esc and wire it up to run twin motors and if so what would be the best esc as it dose not need to have a low motor limit as i will never put any thing more powerful than a 16 turn in it.

so if any one can help it would be brillent

cheers mike

ps i would like the esc to be fwd and backwords

I use an Mtronics RV Sport, this is not available any more though. Any speedo which will handle 13T or lower motors will be okay if you have the kit motors installed, or if you are planning on hopping up the motors get a speedo which can handle 11T or 7T or lower and you should be fine.

I use Magnetic Mayhem motors in my Twin Det, well fast and torquey too, they are good for wheelies in forward and reverse, and have enough grunt to handle climbing too.

See http://www.teamnovak.com/How_to/Dual_motor/dual_mot.html for details on how to choose an ESC for twin motors, if you follow the advice there you can't go far wrong.
