Hi all,

Maybe someone can help me with a problem i've come across today. I took my FF01 out for its first major spin and it runs great. Just finished cleaning it up and put all the radio gear back in and i've just noticed that the car runs quicker in reverse than in forward motion. Ive checked that all the radio gear and ESC are plugged in right. Ive also tried changing the R and N on the transmitter but this just swaps them over.

When i pull the transmitter back the green LED on the ESC lights up and the car goes backwards. When i push forward the red LED lights up and the car goes forwards. This is with the transmitter set to N.

If i change the transmitter and set it to R and push forward the green LED lights up but the car goes backwards and vice versa.

Hope someone understands this. I'm probably being really dumb but i just can't figure it out. [:I]

The ESC is a M 3i Soniks Eco 20 with Acoms radio gear and a 23 turn Yokomo motor

With the M Soniks ESC the green LED signifies forward motion and the red LED signifies backward motion

This is an easy one...

Try to swap the motor wires around, and then reverse the second (forawrd/reverse) channel on the transmitter... [:D] This should help you with your problem. I also think this will do good for your brakes, as they only brake when going forward, not in reverse... [;)]

I hope this helps. [8D]

Nice one Sjoerd, i learn something new everyday. I always thought that the colour of the motor wires had to corespond to the wires on the ESC ie red to red and blue to blue. Why i dont know just kinda made sense to me.

I feel a little silly now [:I]

Thanks alot

How good should the brakes on my ESC be? I've got the same one as 'DJ' (mtroniks eco20) and When I'm going forwards and want to brake there seems to be hardly anthing happening, and I'm worried that if i were to make a mistake when out n bout and needed to brake, it could all end up going horribly wrong [:(]

I had better brakes on my MSC when I hit back on reverse [8)]

Any help would be appreciated
