I was thinking about locking my king blackfoot diff. Is there any negative side effects of this? What would be the best way to go about doing this. I am thinking about running a 19-17T motor in the near future, would that cause a problem?

Yes it would roll over everytime you tried to turn it at any decent speedand possibly cause the gears to wear quicker.

But you would have much more grip in slippy conditions!!

I 'locked ' the diffs on ClodRova using a hotmelt glue gun

sorry this reply is so late but I locked the rear diff on my KBF and it was MUCH better off road. However I dont think it lost much in the steering lock or rolled any more, just get off the power before turning. Overall the off-road performance was so much better it was worth it!

cheers

Rob
