Anyone know of anywhere in UK that'll stock body posts with a hole up the end for a mounting screw?

I've used up all my spares, and I need 'em for my crawlers []

Pro-line do a set for touring car which is similar to Losi and Yokomo systems for touring cars. Would fit the bill although they may be a little thin for you.

The diameter isn't that important, summats got to give somewhere

I have TT-01 posts on a couple, and they're fine, but buying the whole tree for two body posts is a bit much.

Aluminium ones are ok, but a bit of a pain if you make 'em for one body, then change to a wider bod.

Tried modelsport and Apex so far, neither have stock, any more stores you can think of?

They just need to be like this;

Plastic's easiest, then they can be cut down to suit

Alu would be ok, but I'm not sure of the bodies for them, and also wanna sell one of them, so needs to be 'adjustable'

New thought;

1)

Outer sleeve, blind at one end, with M3 tapped hole in it.

Bored out, to around 1/4'' diameter.

1/4'' diameter body post, two holes in end, as above, retained by grub screw thru sleeve.

Similar to plan 1, but outer sleeve has internal M6 or 1/4-20 thread.

Body post has external thread to match, so can be screwed out to necessary length, locked in place with a nut.

why not just an alu one with the center tapped for M3 allmost upto the point where the body clip goes.... this way you can cut it to length and still put a screw in it to mount it.....

or is this too simple?

If you're gonna reinvent the wheel, do it properly []

The only problem with alu is it doesn't cut as easy as delrin - I have the tools to do it, but a couple of these are going elsewhere, and you know what it's like when you rely on other peoples abilities.

My third option which I never posted was a 4 part piece, with springs []

alloy or delrin/black nylon is easy enough to make both designs.

the more complex and time consuming tho the more expenisive they cost as in everything.

if no one else can do/want to do any drop me some dimensions in an email.

Andy - a long shot, but the Touareg body posts are drilled for a 3mm self tapper at one end and come in 4's as the 'D' parts.

About $5 a go from walawala_com
