how much did you pay for the first td to be raised with those shocks??

mine will be here soon and it does not have a good ground clearence and now i have an rc monster truck i wish to push it to the limits and over the time that i have it i hope to do these:

raise it

twin 17 turm motor

esc

larger wheels

new shell

neons

light

alot to do in 2 years but i will get it done will keep people posted on how im getting on

shock towers were £16 (ebay), 4" shocks about £20 (ebay)

Its fairly easy to make your own shock towers from 3mm sheet aloy and I managed to get 4 E-maxx oil shocks of ebay for £10 they are great! If you want to see pics of the towers email me at tobyandsteff@serenweb.co.uk and ill send you some pics.

Mine are 3mm and are starting to bend at the rear, tilting very slightly to the front so that they rest against the rear body mounts, Jozza asked about these in another thread and the general consensus was to go for 4mm if you are making your own

I'm just getting a Twin Detonator. And Im also not really happy with the short shocks.

By seeing some TD with long shocks, i would like to buy a pair of them too, can you give me some information about which one is that ? where to buy ? and how much ?

And also what sets of shock would be best for them ?

hi there i was told that you need to buy a shock tower £10 from ebay and then you can but some 4 inch shocks and that will raise it quite a bit and after that if it is still not big enough for you add some savage wheels which are 7 inches and the standard td wheels are 4 1/2 inches or if you are insane buy the new 8 1/2 inch wheels that i have found will post the website soon but if you want bigger wheels you will need to buy an adaptor and they arent expensive good luck mate

R2-C2.com and T-Max shocks from TowerHobbies. Works very nice.

i have given you a link to another forum early'er there you can get drawings so you can make your own towers if you are interested.
