txt-1 wanabe

i was out at an autojumble earlier today, and came across what i first thought was a few spares for a txt-1.

on the ground was a shell and 4 wheels and tyres. instantly i recognised the shape of the shell - a lexan truck shell like that could only belong to a tamiya txt-1!

i picked up one of the crome wheels (thinking i could fit them onto my clod for some bling effect []) but i noticed the fitting on the back of the wheel didnt look right.

i looked again at the shell, it had a paint job just like a txt-1, but the stickers said MXT-1

so i thought darn, not tamiya. i also noticed the tyres didnt feel as nice as tamiya ones.

so a few minutes ago i decided to do a google search, and after a few trys i came up with this:

a wierd txt-1 look-a-like with a plastic chassis!

the specs are here, but i cant understand them for obvious reasons []

the wheels where definatly clod sized, so it isnt a trail master copy, but it does look like a txt-1/trailmaster mixture [8)]
