[]Hi i have done this and it works great!

get silicone fuel line tubing cut 4 lined cuts down the tubing so you get like 4 strands of equal size next hold them together and with exacto knife cut thin cuts across the hose and make little pieces like 1 and 2 mm thick cut enough to fill inside your front diff.. make sure you only have a thin layer of greas on your diff gears the diff caseing must not have any grease in it at all then put back together...IT WORKS GREAT!!

you still have a diff action that rotates but it makes enough friction to get your car out of a rut when all wheels are off the ground but only 1 front wheel.
