I did a search but couldn't find anything. Would it be possible to mount the Wild Willy 2 body on an XC/CC chassis or are they too long (even the short ones)?

I have an wild willy and an short xc and it looks not so good as the xc is far to big for the wild willy body. I don't know what your plans are but if you want a 4wd wild willy there are members who made a nice willy based on a rock buster/ tlt1

I miss my Wild Willy so I wanted to get another but I didn't miss that it wheelie'd all the time and I did remember the TLT based Willys. I snagged a body set, decals + Willy himself (all new) for only $30 so now I've been searching for something to put it on and thought that the scale looks of the XC/CC chassis might be a nice place to start but comparing the dimensions and wheelbases, it might not work so well. I guess I'll be searching for a Rock Buster/Max Climber to finish my project.

Thanks guys.

I kept thinking about this last night and wouldn't it be possible if the front driveshaft was shorter and the chassis modified?

I believe that would really be a major challenge. With a 68mm difference in wheelbase between the CC-01 (XC) chassis (in SWB-config) and the WR-02 (Wild Willy 2) chassis, you would practically have to remove the propellershaft and the links for the rear axle! [:P].

Also, to make the chassis fit under the WW2 body, you would have to cut away most of the tub, leaving almost only the integrated gearbox and front suspension mount. I don't want to say it can't be done, but basing your project on a TLT-chassis would surely be a much simpler solution.
