Twin Force!

I like solid axles [:I]

I luv RCCA, they never sit on the fence [;)]

CONCLUSION

If you do the math, you can see the Twin Force edged the E-Maxx out by only a single category. Now, if we had included an “ease of assembly” category in our testing, the ready-to-run Traxxas would have tied for the win. And, the E-Maxx could have easily pulled ahead if we factored in “value” because the ESC you need to complete the Twin Force quickly adds $120 to the price tag. All math aside, we believe these two trucks are a solid match for each other, and we’d be happy with either—but for different reasons. We had a great time with both trucks, but if we were interested only in hardcore off-roading without having to build a truck and buy separate radio gear, the E-Maxx would get the nod. If scale looks are important to you, and rock crawling is your thing, Kyosho’s Twin Force is the way to go. It’s up to you. After serious testing, we can recommend both of these trucks without any reservations.

Sorry to disagree with you Andy but i think the E-maxx with 14 cells with go anywhere and at a great speed, its well engineered and tough.

The E-maxx can be had quite cheap now, as it must be disscontinued soon i think.

If the twin force is constructed like the nitro version, i think its a bag of junk, as they are allways popping out the centre driveshafts and getting crud stuck in the exposed chain.

But all in all its just my opinion

You aint disagreeing with me chap, I went for solid axles [:D]

Without knowing what it's gonna be used for, any opinions here are personal preference

If the sole criteria for 'better' is made in Japan, the Kyosho is the only choice [;)]

not all things made in japan are better, every counrty has there share of ups and downs of there products.

also the twin force has a high center of gravity making it flip over easier, but the emaxx has a lower cg making it better in handling, also the maxx's ind. susp is better for handling over the twin forces 2 link suspension. one more thing the emaxx has way more avalible aftermarket hop ups than the twin force.

You mean theres a whole bunch of worthless Chrome pieces to put on a maxx , that wont retain value.

What it comes down to is Kyosho V. Traxxas , easy decision in my book.

Ive owned both (and a t-maxx) and personallyid="red"> I think Emaxxs are ****, "handle better" , yeah right.

Both trucks have their ups and downs , but the ups of the Twin vastly outweigh the maxx. Depends on what you are going to use it for as well , bashing with the other 12-yr old maxx owners or building a serious truck out of the force. Take your pic.

You missed my point fella, the original question was 'which one is better' - but without knowing 'at what??' there's no way to respond accurately

rc reece: if your into rock crawling, the obvious choice is the twin force, if not its the emaxx. also theres also the matter of money, the twin force costs alot more than the emaxx

TamiyaBeaterFleet: when you say " You mean theres a whole bunch of worthless Chrome pieces to put on a maxx , that wont retain value."

i entirly agree with you, your statment is very true. alum costs a mere 3-4usd a pound. its also true that it wont retain its value if you sell it with the truck. but if you sell you hop ups seperatly, you will get almost all your money you put into your truck.

also you cant say the emaxx is ****, it won RC Car Action Truck of the Year 2001. also it is number 3 on rc car actions 2005 readers choice awards, and you cant say the tmaxx is ****, up till the revo nothing beat it in the readers choice awards.

heres a twin force review by rcu http://www.rcuniverse.com/magazine/article...?article_id=322
