Hi i purchased 2 different types of 3300 battery packs Venom and powerizers off E-bay and none of them fit in the XC chassis they are a bit to long so you can't use the clip to hold them in.. Are 3300 cells longer than 3000 cells?

Doe's anyone know of a 3300 battery pack that will fit in the XC chassis? that is not to expensive? only running a 55 turn lathe motor don't need no special battery pack.

THANKS

It might be that the end caps on the packs are just that bit thicker/bigger stopping them fitting corectly,I dont think 3300 cells are physically bigger than 3000 ones.

I don't think 3300 cells are bigger as there have been no problems fitting them in touring cars with slotted chassis, but several cars have had to be redesigned to fit the new 3600s. There can be quite a bit of difference in length depending on how the manufacturer assembles the pack. You could cut away the plastic end caps as these do take up a bit of room.

Hi i do have older sanyo 2000 cells and these new 3300 do seem longer. i did take off both caps on the 3300 venom pack and they still did not fit :-( Bummer

The only thing i can do is slid the pack in the truck and use a big body clip and clip it through one of the outter holes where the plastic battery holder would go ..this works but the battery is shifted a more to one side.

I have different batteries and some also doesn't fit i also use a bodypost or a small screw. But what i dont like is that the batteries get stuck as sand comes into the chassis!

GP & Sanyo 3300s are definitely longer than old 1200-2400 nicads.

Although the difference is only very small, by the time

you've got 3 stacked up in a stickpack it does add up.

Didnt thesuper have troubles like this in his TA03? it was to do with the little lumps on top of the battery (on the + terminal) which, as willy chang says, adds up.
