I have been hearing about a few of you who take your RC to the trails for miles and miles of fun. I have thought about this and was wondering how far I can go with 2-1900, 1 1800, 2 1500 battery packs. I have many trails here in the appalachian mountains and would like to try to take my RC with me this time. The most likely candidate I have for this task is my TLT-10 Max Climber with 55T lathe motor. Of course if I had a Pajero or Touareg it would be my first choice, simply because the scale realism is just awesome. Anyway, I would like to hear about some of your trailing expeditions and what happened along the way. Any mishaps or something cool that had happened, please share. Any unforseen things I should bring? Thanks!

Hi i went up in the mountain trails with my XC's never had any problems at all.

With a 3300 Batt and a lathe motor i went up and over the other side of the mountain so you should get far with all your batts..

I know the XC's tranny is efficent don't know about your trucks..

Just use half the mha in batts and when they die you know it's time to head back with the other half of the batteries.

I have micro fans that i have blowing over my motor and ESC it keeps them cold... If you don't have one on your truck it may get hot and use up the batts faster and you may want to give it some rest time to cool down inbetween batts.

Bring a drink for sure!

some tools wheel wrench screwdiver and maybe CA glue

a marker to mark the dead batteries so you know what ones are dead after using them.

Bring Off bug spray for sure!

I would love to make a video but when i go i travel non sop back and fourth in the mountain and out of it over 3 hours!

Maybe i can just snap some pic's of the trails and stuff next time.

Good luck and have FUN!!

PS. make sure front and rear diffs are locked!!

in my mountain it's so rocky it's a must.

O and make sure your radio has fully charged batteries because it's a bummer when they are going dead on you in the middle of your trip!

Learned that last time i went!!

Thanks for the replies! It sure looks like a lot of fun. Now only if I can get my TLT running good enough. Or, maybe I'll just buy a Tamiya XC and get it over with eh![:D] How much do used ones sell for?

Depends on condition, body, modifications and electronics, usually $100 and higher, better check completed auctions in eBay as a price guide.

Cheers
