I have a TLT on the way to be used as a doner for a buildup on one of my beetle chassis, I already know I want to run Mashers on it but do not know what wheels I need. If anyone can tell me I can get them ordered before that little ****** shows up at my doorstep.[:D]

Thanks a ton,

Mike

Pretty much any 2.2 wheel with a standard size hex head hub mount will work. I am surpized your not busy in your shop making a set of aluminum wheels for it.

Thanks Guys,

I might go with the Stampede wheels but I like those OFNA ones quite a lot [:0], maybe I'll get both[;)]

Twinset I like how those look with the rim cut, but darn'it I need CHROME buddy [:D]

Sradjoe what driveshaft did you use on your Max Climber? That truck looks nice.

Thanks! The Dogbones are HPI 6 x 86 for the RS4MT. I ordered from Tower, they come 2 in a package. I have the front diff locked, and I'll soon lock the rear diff. Make sure you glue the tires on. Also, I was using a Futaba S3003 servo, which is pretty much useless with the mashers. I will try a high torque servo in its place. I need to find a good body next. I am liking the HPI silverado. We'll have to see.

I forgot to mention that if you use the HPI dogbones, You will have to dremel the ball-ends in order to fit. And depending on your links you may have to install some fuel hose or something to take away the slop.

The hex on the ofna wheels in the first link actually sit outside the inner rim face, giving a lot of extra offset compared to the stock wheels or even the stampede wheels.

you definately have to use hi-torque servos, and upgraded savers to get the truck to turn well.

Yes, must have a high torque servo. I have just bought a Traxxas 2055 servo which is used for the T-maxx steering, and I still dont have the torque I need. I think they claim 90 in/lb.of torque. I thought thats all it would need. Maybe I need to do away with the servo saver to get rid of the play that it has. I'll check into it later.

Cul-Tech, Have you received your TLT yet? What beetle chassis are you referring to?

I have not recieved the TLT yet but I have ordered wheels tires and those driveshafts from Tower. The chassis I made is a redesigned chassis for my Hybrid Beetle, I made jigs the second time around so I can remake the chassis with little trouble, now having multiple chassis I want to make another Beetle although this one will use TLT axles and have 4WS, and a lexan HPI baja bug body. It will have much more crawling capabilities than the first, but not as realistic looking.

Thanks for the heads up on modding the driveshafts, I hope to have the truck early next week[:D][:D]
