Blackfoot hex conversion

I've seen pictures of a Blackfoot with chrome King Blackfoot wheels on it. Obviously, this requires a hex hub conversion for the rear. Is this a difficult conversion, and is it worth the hassle?

You can use the big adapters from this HPI set:

Just cut off the part protruding from the hex side if you're using non-HPI wheels.

Wouldn't that make the rear wheels stick out a tad too much, though? Also, the Super Blackfoot has dogbones...wouldn't that be possible?

KBF wheels have less offset then the BF ones, so actually it is good as othewise the tire is too close to the motor. Or maybe you could directly try to fit hexes on the BF axles?

Super Blackfoot dogbones would definitely be cheaper than the Thorp units, so the conversion might be worth a try...anyone carried this out before? But for now, I'll pick up a set of the adapters and hunt around for some chrome King Blackfoot wheels.

SBF dog bones are way longer than what you need for a stock BF
