why do tamiya recomend not to glue/cement the tires to the rims? in the wet it goes nowhere slowly, but every other car/truck it recomends tire cementing. so why not do it, as far as i can see there's no reason not to do it! why make the suspension rubbish? is there any way to improve it?[?]

The easy way to improve things is to glue the tyres to the wheels. Tamiya do not recommend doing this as allowing the tyres to slip generally acts as a slipper clutch in the transmission, preventing your gears from getting damaged. I use rubber bands in mine, just find some that fit into the grooves the tyres sit in then mount the wheels without gluing. The rubber bands will stop the tyres from slipping but there is still some slip.

the suspension on the wild dagger and dettonator is actully not bad in standard form and does its job very well it wasnt designed to be a rock crawler etc so they probobly thought there was no need to fit longer shocks but if you do want to improve the suspension you could either take out the rubber tubes that limit it or fit aftermarket shock towers that allow you to fit 4inch long shocks giving alot more suspension travel

I've got a w'd, with the rear diff glued, the tyres glued, I did have 17 turn motors in it before I decided to swap them for a pair of 550 sized motors, not yet fitted, and I've not had any problems at all. I've also fitted a pair of shock towers, tap in "wild Dagger" on Ebay and you'll find them, and a set of T-Maxx shocks. Much better!

The best way to sort the tire slip is to pop elastic bands into the tire grooves on the wheels. Works perfectly , no messy glue and you can still retain a little slip if you use thin bands.
