i guess i got a good deal here, £20 got me the truck 3 batts only 1500s but hey, all radio gear inc chargers, and the truck is in great condition, most of the pin spikes are still there on the rear tyres so she hasnt had a lot of hard. i plan on ball racing it and getting esp and a motor for here to bring the best out of it, so what hop ups can i get for it. thanks danny. =)

oh my god, how dirty was the speed controller...

all cleaned up now and looking good, i got some paint today and started preping the body. charged a batt and had a little go with it, and all i can say is how slow is it, i dont remember my mud blaster being that slow, i swapped the motor with a stock one for now but plan on getting something a little hotter, gotta keep up with pumpkin bumkin. =)

well after breaking my freshly built tl01 earlier today, i decided to fit my just skimmed with new brushes, cheapo venom racing 21 double to the blackfoot, jus running manual speed control at the mo, and the difference is night and day. its a lot quicker now, and the oil filled shocks i got on the front now actually work so thats improved the handling. bring it on pumpkin boy. moahahahah (evil laugh)

<envy> audia4, I just can't seem to get a King/Super Blackfoot! dayom it! I've been searching for weeks now! I keep losing every ebay auction I try! Anyways, nice looking blackfoot. Funny thing you should mention the cheapo Venom motor. I just posted in another forum that my TL01B monster truck has a Venom 21t motor that's smoking. no literally, it's like it's about to catch fire... Now if I could only get my old Blackfoot (which also has a Venom 21t motor) working...

btw, that same motor does seem to do wonders for my lunchbox too!

ive fitted my esc now and its really quite fast and pops wheelies like mad, ive also just fitted bearings so that should help a bit too. theres a nice blackfoot on ebay at the mo, buy it now at £85 i think. heres a pic of mine now.

there all oil filled dampers, just the rears are from thunder tiger ssk nitro truck, they work really well after a little tweak. =)

yeah they do mate, ive had mine off though as i robbed them to put on stock motor while i had the venom skimmed, im tempted to fit mt mtroniks 13 triple to the blackfoot, i dont know if that would be overkill as it goes really well with the 21 venom, i might get a 17 double venom, there cheap enough. =)

i've just got a king blackfoot from the bay and i wanted to spray mine up a bit more of a lairy colour and was wondering how you went about prepping your body before you sprayed it?

and what type of paint that you used?

hi, my mate hepled out with the prep, he used 800 paper and scotch brite, and i cant remember about the paint i think it might be tf. its by tamiya and specific for hard bodies. hope this helps. =)

so he just washed it down and scrubbed with the scotch brite then just smoothed the surface with the 800 paper?

if its a new body i would give it a light go with the 800 paper on the hood and the roof, and scotch the bits like the truck bed, just give it a good ruff up and then wash it with warm water and a bit washing up liquid. if you are going to go with a light colour you will have to paint it white first. be sure to post pics when you are done. =)

just a little update on my kbf, i am now running my mtroniks 12 triple and she really moves now! ive got some chrome wheels coming for xmas and a lexan blackfoot body, fingers x my mate is going to airbrush it and it will be fat.[8D] will keep you guys updated.
