Pinion Problem. Help appreciated...

Hi everyone. Don't mean to get off the Tamiya subject, but i'm having a problem with my Traxxas stampede. I recently bought a modified motor for it and the shaft is slightly smaller than the stock motor, so now the pinion gear no longer will line up with the spur gear.

Anyone know what pinion i should get or if there is a way to make the original work?

i had the same problem with my traxx bandit, fortunately for me the pinion just fitted right on the end of a standard silver can motor, igot to get some more wires fitted on the 17 turn hotmotor it came with, i need to find mi soldoring iron out ;-)
