best tamiya "racing" truck?

Just got done reading my April 1991 issue or RC Car Action Monster and Racing magazine. Yeah, the one with reviews of the Hi-Lux and King Cab. Looked like the Hi-Lux did real well in their heads up competition, truck shoot out. Finished 2nd, after the Jr-xt. So, was this the best truck Tamiya ever put out for racing? And if so, what happened? Why no more comp. level trucks.

oh, other racing trucks in the shootout besides the Lose Jr-Xt, were the Outlaw ultima and Traxxas Blue Eagle and Hawk.

Cheapskates.... couldn't afford a real racing truck... a Schumacher.... lol...

Maybe they were just looking at toys...
