My newest build - Tlt-1 Max Climber.

Hello all. Here is my new built Max Climber. Full bearings, locked axels, aluminum bumpers/cantilevers/servo mounts (compliments of InetRC), Futaba radio and 4 wheel steering. Right now it has the stock 540 and a Novak XRS (well as soon as Novak mails it back from repair). I really like these little things ! I wish Tamiya would get rid of those stupid window stickers and include masks, cause it was a real pain to tape these windows. How does she look ?

It looks real good. I just finished my own Rock Buster last weekend and was surprised how steady it was (I’ve stretched the wheelbase). I though the little truck was going to flip over all the time but it didn't. The stock tires don’t have enough grip to crawling but I think the TLT trucks are great fun.

Could you not have used the window stickers on the inside as masking ?

I am still trying to sell my Max Climber, but it looks a fun little machine !!!

I must get around to building mine now I've seen this little gem ......... lol. I need a new body though cos I sprayed mine an awful colour []

Are all three diffs locked ? how did you lock them and how does it run with locked axles and 4WS ?.

I glued all three diffs in my truck with a glue gun (should be able to remove the glue if you desire) and 4ws works just fine. I don’t have high torque servos (planning to get some soon) and I have stretched the wheelbase a bit but I think the truck is very stabile.

jakethesnake, I used JB Weld on the diffs in the axels and it works fine for me. The center diff is still open for now. Truck is very quick for its size but I have to get a widening kit 'cause she likes to spend time on her roof with the 4 wheel steering [].
