hi everyone!

i've wanted one of these trucks for years, and finally today i picked up a txt-1 i won from ebay last week [:D]

it's fully built, ready to run and has only been used a few times.

it's such an impressive truck, i hadn't even seen one on the flesh until today! when magazine reviews say its bigger and better than a clodbuster, they arn't lying! [8D]

i've only driven it indoors so far, i tested its crawling capabilities by using a few cusions off of the sofa (my mum didn't notice lol [}:)])

i'm impressed with the turning circle, even though its only got 2 wheel steering (i'll be upgrading it to 4 wheel steering soon), it turns really well. allthough the hi-torque servo its fitted with is probably helping it to turn so well, i doubt it would turn much at all with a standard servo!

it's got loads of torque with the side by side twin motor set up, and allthough some people don't like it - i really like the way the chassis twitches under acceleration, it just looks cool [:)]

i'm not going to bash this truck at all, it's going to be used carefully, cos i dont want to break it! [:P]

the only question i've got for all you txt-1 owners out there is -

did you choose to glue the tyres to the rims?

mine arn't glued, and you can hear the rims slipping even when pulling away slowly.

thats my only question, right now i'm just relaxing and looking at all that aluminium [8D]

i love your e-maxx killing txt-1!!! [^]

i've finally become a member of the txt-1 club, sadly i'm still not a member of the digital camera club lol [:I]

still, heres a pic of it in full ebay auction mode [;)]

i'll post some proper pics once i've got my film developed (anyone remember film[;)]) and scanned them in. i've gota take some shots of it along side my stupidly modified midnight pumpkin [:P]

i've never used a pistol type transmitter before, takes a bit of getting used to.

at the moment its stock, which is fine as it looks "modded" anyway, but i'll definatly be getting some more aluminum bits next year, i like the shiney stuff [:P]

I didn't glue mine, I shot some screws in from the inside. I only use it for crawling so having it blow off the wheel was not an issue, slipping was. Four screws per wheel was enough to stop that, this way I could change tires without buying wheels, and later I was able to narrow them without damaging the tires also.[;)]

Congratulations by the way.[^]
