How to post items to your showroom....

First make sure you are logged with the username and password provided. If you are logged on you should see you username in the top right hand corner of the screen. Click on it.

You should now be looking at your 'Details' page. Here you can click on the edit link and change any item of info about yourself. Make sure the is always a valid email address registered or your services will be closed.

If you want to add to your showroom then click on the 'Showroom' tab at the top of your page. You will now see your showroom. Click on the 'Add model' link and then fill in the relevent boxes being sure to classify your car correctly (you can find more on this in this thread http://www.tamiyaclub.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=389 )

When you have selected your pictures and filled in the details hit the 'add' button at the bottom of the screen and thats it.

Adding items to your trade area in much the same process.

Please note: You must be a paid up subscriber in order to add items to you showroom or trade area if you are not and you try it you will be taken to the subscription screenid="blue">

Hi CHris! When I log in, I see my ID in the upper right corner, as you said. I can't click on it though, it is plain text and not a link to my details page. Am I doing something wrong? Thanx! Vince

Are you talking about when you are in the forums or when you are in the site proper?

yep its exactly the same for me, its plain text no matter what part of the board im on.

You need to be on the homepage www.tamiyclub.com and then click on you name, in the black bar at the top, with your member name next to it.

The logins for the forums and website/showrooms is different. If you are a member of the club you automatically get a forum login. If you just registered via the forums, then you need to register again from the main home page, otherwise you will not have a showroom.

Please note, just to complicate things...

club login is email and password

forum login is username and password.

Yeah on the home page, my name is at the top right corner and when I click on it my info page comes up, i.e showroom, details and trade pages. Works ok with me.

Mine is plain txt too but I can click on it.

i still cant log in from main page.

i enter my email and password, and it tells me my email addy is not registered.

yet when i log in at the forums page and checks my profile, its the right email addy i using to try and login at home page.

Omen666, the same happened for me. But if you look a couple of posts above, you'll find that netsmith said that you need two accounts if you signed up from the forum instead of the main page. I had to get another account from the main page today to open up a showroom of my own. Also, you can't use the same nickname or e-mail address if you sign up the second time. Hope this helps.

Is there an easy way to move a car from my show room to the trade room?

If a car does not sell from the trade room, can I move it back to my show room, wait a month (maybe try ebay), then put it back in the trade room?

To have a showroom (place to post pics of your cars and write about them) you do have to pay the subscription.

The "have you seen" is pictures linked of others showrooms these are decided by admin/moderators on here.

I'm a subscriber and i am logged in, i tried to add a car to my showroom, did all the things i had to do and then when i press 'add model' i see the picture upload thing appear and disappear in the same time and then it returns me to my showroom without having actually added my new car to the showroom...
