big 4x4 trucks

got a mate who's looking at buying one and he wants to know how fast they are. are they normal buggy kinda speed ? i know motor etc will play a part, but just generally how fast ?

Generally I would say out of the box you are looking at slower. I have stock TXT1 which is nowhere near and of my buggies for speed and accelleration. Clodbuster was faster than txt1 but still not as fast as my topforce for example.

I know you can hop them up to go faster but you end up spending about half as much again on it.

Depends which big truck you are talking about.

I have a Juggernaut, with modified motors and it is not fast at all. However, a Traxxas E-maxx is a pretty big truck. Not very realistic looking, but it is fast with dual motors and dual batteries.

Most (all?) big Nitro trucks are going to be pretty fast too..
