Does anybody have any recomendations for a good ESC for offroad use?

Basically it would need to have no turn limit, be quite small, reasonably priced and it would be nice if it was water resistant/proof.

Any help on where to buy your recomendations would also be a help.

Waterproof basically means VTRAC or Mtroniks 3 waterproof speedos. They are the only 2 manufacturers i can think of that are waterproof but i didnt like the mtronics one much because of poor brakes (for me at least) Never tried the vtrac but they were expensive although used to be the competion choice.

I use a ESC designed for Formula 1 cars in about everything I have... It's called a Tekin Formula 10. [^] Doesn't have reverse though but I never missed that! [;)]

It's not made anymore so no much use to you... [V]

I have used an MRT speedo in my TA03 on road car. Track soaked with water, it just keeps working. They really are totally waterproof. Not in the budget category certainly, but you can still get the 'lower priced' one for under £100. All you then have to do is keep the water out of the receiver!

Do MRT make an ESC with reverse? That was something I should have mentioned, that it needs reverse.

I have a friend who uses MRT and they are good but on their website I only find ones with no reverse.

Nope, forwards only I'm afraid. Maybe M'troniks do a reversing one which is waterproof.
