Can anyone here confirm nitro fuel will strip Tamiya TS spraypaint off lexan? (Solid blue in particular, I think its PS4)

My doubts arise 'cos I've been using TS sprays on all my nitro car shells and none have lost their paint so far... [:I]

Willy, I suppose you mean PS-sprays? I mean, TS is for hard plastic bodies / plastic models, as you surely know. I've painted hundreds of lexan bodies for customers with PS sprays of all kinds from the time they were introduced on the market and till today, oh which a good share were for nitro cars (with maximum 35% nitro), and I've never seen or had reports of fuel eating the PS-srays to any noticeable extent, and you know how customers don't hesitate to complain! [;)] Of course, if you spray fresh fuel on a newly painted body, paint will be attacked and can be rubbed off, but unless you really want to dissolve/remove the paint, PS-sprays can be regarded fuelproof.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Tamiya paints, it should be pointed out that Tamiya lexan-paint in glassjars (PC-paint) is NOT fuelproof, but can be made fuel proof by backspraying with PS or by using the 82026 PC26 Fuel Proof Topcoat (AFTER painting).
