My workshop sounds very glam but it has very humble begginings.

I was once a cattle shed, it still has the feeding trough that runs the entire length of one side, this has been adapted for use as storage. I do all my R/C stuff in the house as I haven't got a shed yet.

Just a warning to you guy's with American 72 or 75 MHz gear, it is actually illegal to use this gear in the UK and also illegal to import it. Destroy it or sell it back on e-bay. The 27, 40 and 459 Mhz bands are available for surface model use as long as they are not abused. If widespread abuse is detected, all bands could be withdrawn. Do you want that?

The UK government has a long history of showing little tolerance of abuse of the radio airways, as anyone who remembers the CB fiasco and, even further back, the Pirate Radio story will remember. So be sensible, USE ONLY LEGAL RADIO GEAR.

You could get into some serious problems running 75MHz r/c gear here in the UK. 70-80MHz is used by the fire service here and the RA would come down on you like the proverbial ton of bricks if you were caught using it. For the sake of a £35 Acoms set, don't risk it...!

Totally agree about the dremel, I got a multipro (10-33K rpm) about a year ago, poor thing is almost worn out, been used for just about everything from polishing RC car parts to engraving daughters name in rulers, pens etc for school. You can get cutting discs for them that make VERY light work of cutting sheet ali or plastic! [8D]

I will trade you a stick 27 hz for your 72. I am in the UK and I cannot get in trouble for having it. Or if you want, just send it to me and I will not tell the local police you have a illegal item hehe.
