Being as most of the Tamiya tourers are somewhere between 185 and 190mm wide then you want to go for a 190mm, if you go for 200mm the wheels will be lost inside the arches.

There is nothing significantly different in appearance of the two different width shells.

If the car is wider, it will also look wider... So if you take a close look you will spot the difference. But indeed it should not be too eye-cathcing. [;)]

The TB-01 chassis is something like 180-190mm (it quite narow), so you will definately need a 190mm shell. To use a 200mm body you will need to use wheels with quite some 'offset', which limits your wheel choises significantly.

200mm shells are in general for ic 1/10 tourers, I have to admit i know of any wheels that will allow a electric tourer to fill out its wheelarches. Mind you there are always the wheels that came with escort cossie (repsol etc) where you could change offset.

I must admit I've used 200mm shells on touring car chassis before and they did look a bit silly.

Only reason I used them is that they were HPI ones which were alot cheaper than buying a Tamiya shell!

Strange thing is that I fitted a 200mm to a TL01 and fitted it with some HPI wheels and it looked fine. I think the HPI wheels had a bigger offset plus the fact that I built the TL01 chassis from new parts rather than a kit and I used some slightyl wider Kyosho hexes, thye are nearly 8mm wide. Problem then is that the locking nut doesn't have much thread to sit on.

I'd stick to a 190 shell, nobody makes Shells as well detailed/proportioned as Tamiya anyway [:D]

Yeah I know Rich but my LHS doesn't stock them. I don't know why he only stocks 200mm ones? mind you he doesn't stock Tamiya at all now, only car stuff is all nitro [:(][:(]
